Like any true Millennial love story, ours began the modern way… on a dating app. Jenny was mid-conversation with a coworker about giving up on dating apps when she got some simple advice... “Stop overthinking it and just swipe on the hot guy.” That same week, up popped Pete's profile. Chiseled jawline, baby blues, and a note in his profile that he was about to become a dog dad to a golden retriever puppy. Intrigued, Jenny coyly messaged him to confess a potential deal-breaker: she was a cat lady.Pete didn’t flinch. He wrote back that she could have a cat, he’d have a dog, and together they’d be like Homeward Bound. (Cue Jenny agreeing to a first date.) What followed was a couple beautiful months getting to know each other &amp; falling in love in San Francisco: dinner dates around the city, hikes in Marin, and day trips to Sonoma with friends. Just two months in, Pete brought home the newest member of the crew, a golden retriever puppy named Calvin. Full of fluff and chaos, Calvin quickly decided Jenny was also his person. And just like that, the “Cal Fam” was born and Jenny became a mom. As a trio, we loved exploring California together,weekends in Calistoga, Stinson Beach, Mendocino, Bodega Bay, Yosemite, and countless wine country adventures. In August 2023, we officially moved in together. By then, we already felt like home to each other. Calvin took the move in stride and claimed half the king-sized bed as his own. Living in the Presidio, he’s become a local celebrity known as “the mayor,” and it's rare to take a walk without someone shouting, “Calvin!!!!” Then in September 2024, we took a dream trip to Japan. One peaceful afternoon, in a tucked-away tea garden in the heart of Tokyo, Pete turned to Jenny with wide, fearful eyes and said the most romantic words she’s ever heard: “Jenny, it’s happening…” before dropping to one knee. (Spoiler: She said yes!) We celebrated in Kyoto and Osaka, floating on cloud nine. Now, as we get ready for our next big adventure—marriage—we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with our favorite people in our favorite place. See you in SF in October!!!

The Bay Area has several major airports. We recommend SFO, but OAK is also easily accessible to the city! 1. San Francisco International Airport (SFO)Location: 13 miles south of downtown San Francisco. (~30-35 mins to SF and the closest airport to the city) 2. Oakland International Airport (OAK)Location: approximately 20 miles from San Francisco (~40-50 mins from downtown SF) 3. San Jose International Airport (SJC)**We don't recommend as this is quite far from the city!Location: San Jose is about 45 to 50 miles. Could take 1 hour -1.5 hours to get to San Francisco.

🌁 Our Favorite Things to Do in San Francisco Getting Around: Everything is easily accessible via Uber or Lyft — or, if you’re feeling adventurous, try a Waymo (self-driving car)!We don’t recommend renting a car in the city — break-ins are common and parking is tough. If you want to explore beyond SF, apps like Turo make it easy to rent a car just for the day. 🌳 Outdoor AdventuresWalk the Presidio We love Mountain Lake Park, the Lyon Street Steps, and Lover’s Lane. Crissy Field + Tunnel Tops Stroll by the water near the Golden Gate Bridge. Stop at Radhaus for a beer and a pretzel. Golden Gate ParkSo much to see! Visit the de Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Bison Paddock, or the California Academy of Sciences.Ocean Beach It’s beautiful, but windy — bring a sweater! We love getting a poke burrito at Hook Fish afterward.Golden Gate BridgeWalk or bike across if the weather’s nice — the views are worth it. SausalitoA short ride over the bridge!
