Jenny and I met in October of 2022. It was Halloween weekend. We agreed to meet at the bar, Old Monk, for our first date around 8PM.

The Astros were playing in Game 1 of the World Series and first pitch was at 7PM, so naturally I showed up an hour and a half early. Little did I know this was a "weird" move. By the time Jenny showed up the Astros were up 5-0. We immediately had a connection like we had known each other for years and we didn't skip a beat the whole night. We went to a couple of bars and stayed up until 5AM talking before I dropped her off and headed back home. It was such an amazing night that I didn't even have time to realize the Astros blew that 5-0 lead and dropped Game 1 of the series.

Since that first date, we've gotten to spend so many adventures and laughs together. The majority of them shared enjoying margaritas and chips & queso. When I was trying to plan my proposal, I knew Jenny would sniff out anything out of the ordinary or "extra". So I devised a plan to go to our normal Tex-Mex spot, Frankie's, in the hopes that the margs and queso would incentivize a "yes" when I popped the question after dinner. And I am fortunate enough that that plan worked and get to call her my fiancé, and soon-to-be wife.
