In the warm and bustling city of Los Angeles, Sam and Jenny's love story began in June of 2021. Sam had recently moved back from San Francisco and, through the wonders of modern technology, connected with Jenny on Coffee Meets Bagel just two weeks after his return.

Their first date at Urth Caffe in Pasadena was filled with laughter, shared stories, and a strong connection. At the end of the date, Sam, feeling a spark, mustered the courage to ask Jenny on a second date. Her response was a playful "maybe," but Jenny kept an open mind. Sam, undeterred, persisted in pursuing her, and soon enough, she agreed to a second date.

As they continued to explore the vibrant city together, Sam and Jenny discovered they had an incredible amount in common, including a surprising family connection. It turned out that both of their grandfathers had been pastors in Korea and, even more astonishingly, had been good friends after settling in Jeju Island following their escape from North Korea.

Their relationship blossomed, and in October 2021, Sam decided to take their connection to the next level. He prepared some delicious home-cooked pho for Jenny, setting the stage for a romantic evening. The two danced to nostalgic 90s slow dance songs, and in a moment filled with warmth and sincerity, Sam asked Jenny to be his girlfriend. She happily agreed, sealing their commitment to each other.

Fast-forward to a memorable evening in Chicago in June 2023. Jenny found herself in a boot, nursing a broken ankle, but little did she know that this evening would mark a significant chapter in their story. Sam, surrounded by the beautiful Chicago skyline and his entire family, got down on one knee and asked Jenny for her hand in marriage. Despite the unexpected challenge of the broken ankle, Jenny's heart was full of joy as she enthusiastically said, "Yes!"

And so, in the midst of love, shared history, and overcoming challenges, Sam and Jenny embarked on their journey towards a lifetime of happiness together, forever grateful for God's undeniable plan that brought them together.
