Our Wedding

In a very on brand fashion, I met Thea on a dance floor. After finally working up the courage to talk to her, we hit it off and spent the night dancing. After that night, we spent the next few weeks talking until we finally saw each other again. Shortly after that, we went on our first official date. We went to a concert, and at a certain point I could already feel myself falling in love with her. I decided then that I didn’t want to spend any more of my life without this person. Since then, we have fallen more for each other every day. I still look at her and feel the same thing I felt that night at the concert. We are so blessed to have found a love like this. Thank you so much for helping us celebrate that love!

The Line hotel 

The Line Hotel is located in downtown Austin just 7 miles from the airport and a 10 minute Uber/Lyft. You’ll likely NOT need a rental car for the weekend since so much is walking distance or a short/affordable Uber away from the hotel.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)

If you’d prefer to stay somewhere else, we recommend staying as close to downtown as possible (to reduce the need to drive or grab Ubers). Here are some great options

P6 is an amazing rooftop bar at The Line Hotel where we have our room block. It’s the perfect place to grab a cocktail, snacks and watch the sunset in Austin over the lake.

Just a few steps from The Line is Lady Bird Lake. There are paddle board & kayak rentals super close by, enjoy the sunshine!

La Barbecue 

Enjoy the lake & do it on a boat. Right on the other side of the lake from the hotel, is a donut boat rental spot. Grab some drinks, some food & enjoy Austin on the lake.

Head to Austins biggest park & join in on the fun. You’ll see picnics, games of volleyball, people throwing frisbees & footballs & much more!

Cool down on a hot day at Barton Springs Municipal Pool. The coolest outdoor swim spot!

Wood fired Italian, but in Jeremy’s eyes the best steak in Austin. Everything on the menu here is next level, reservations book up quick so get them in advance!

Red Ash

I’ve never had a bad dish off this ever-changing menu. You truly can’t go wrong. One thing you must try is their ice cream sandwiches. Non-negotiable.

Launderette

The cutest Italian spot. The husband makes all the pasta & is the chef & the wife makes the cutest and tastiest homemade chocolates.

Jeremy’s favorite country dive bar. Looking for some two-stepping and some cheap beer, look no further!

The White Horse

The Line Hotel is right on South Congress & South Congress has some of the best shopping in Austin. There’s tons of shops, pop ups and restaurants all along south Congress!

Rainey Street is known for bars that are in old houses. Front yard, inside & backyard parties. Rainey street is busy and filled with people day and night. Our favorites to check out on Rainey are: Reina, Lustre Pearl, Clive & Icenhauers. Most bars on this street also have live music!

Another fun rooftop bar! Check out Zanzibar for a fun tiki-style rooftop bar, make sure you snag a reservation. It’s walking distance from The Line.
