Bride's POV
PSA: Pats slid through my DMs one midnight and asked me to go on a study date with him. I said yes and we had such a great time, that I was only able to study the first page of my handout and I ordered a mango tart even though I'm not eating mangoes! Since then, he kept on asking me to study or grab dinner with him (I can tell it was his way of getting close to me). I found myself growing to like him as months passed by and he turned out to be a sweet and gentle man.
Groom's POV
When I first met Kits, I honestly thought she was intimidating. She was quiet, composed, and carried herself with confidence that it made me a little nervous. But as I got to know her, I saw the warmth behind the strong personality and the kindness in her eyes. That first impression did not last long, but it definitely made me want to know more about her.
Bride's POV
I honestly didn't expect our date to be fancy at all, but I showed up in a jumpsuit and heels regardless. When he picked me up from my condo, I saw that he was only in jeans and sneakers. So I was like, oh okay, cute. So by the time we got there, I was actually surprised because the place was totally out of my budget. We're only broke college students after all. The night went by and we had a blast... Just couldn't get over about how expensive our bill was. LOL
Groom's POV
We went to to Fairmont in Makati for a Valentine's dinner buffet. Unforgettable food, and an unforgettable bill!
Bride's POV
When Pats told me he's going to introduce me to his family, I was kind of nervous because I knew they're a family of doctors. I didn't know what to expect or how to act. When we arrived at Frazzled Cook, everyone greeted me with warmth and open arms. The rest is history - grateful to be a part of a loving and understanding family.
Groom's POV
When I first met Kitkat’s family, I was honestly pretty intimidated, they were super close and had such strong personalities. But over time, I got more comfortable and started to feel like part of the family through shared meals, laughter, and heartfelt conversations.
Bride's POV
Definitely one of the best phases of our relationship. Pats and I are food buddies and we used to go on late night samgyupsals and adventures in Pampanga after our classes. I'd skip studying for my quizzes and spend my allowance for 3 days in 1 night (almost failed a major subject because of this!). We were also fond of watching musicals at Solaire. It was a fun time.
Groom's POV
College days were simple yet had hold a ton of meaningful memories for us. We spent our nights at different cafes, finishing papers or cramming for the exams. When we had extra allowance, we'd go to different parts of the city to explore new food spots just to break the student routine. Looking back, it was in those little everyday moments helped shaped and build our relationship.
Bride's POV
To be honest, the naughtiest dog caught my eye. Pats insisted to that we get the quietest dog, who sat by the corner. So happy I listened to Pats! (He still brags about it until now).
Groom's POV
I pushed Kits to pick Saint because she was the most quiet and she had a unique white strand of hair that was eye catching.
Bride's POV
I remember when Pats had such a hard time adjusting during his first year in med school. He was in a new environment, with no friends, no one to talk to. During this time, I was an Occupational Therapy intern in Manila and I had to study for my oral and written revalida and board exams. I tried to visit him in Baguio whenever I can, just to see him and be there for him. I can definitely say that this was the most challenging time of our relationship because we were both in a life transition phase. But when I got into the same med school, everything went back to how it was: Trying out different cafes and restaurants, just like how we were during our college days.
Groom's POV
Mostly we were just studying at different cafes and exploring Baguio whenever we were free. When we had the luxury of time, we would go on a hunt for steal ukay ukay deals, strolled thru by the pine trees in Camp John Hay, and on colder nights, we would go for a ramen run in Agara. Looking back, Baguio was not only a place where we studied, but this is the were we both matured, and grew steadily in love with each other.
Bride's POV
He was moonlighting in Cabanatuan while I was doing my medical internship in Quezon City. He'd visit me every 2 weeks and we would eat at our go-to restaurants like Zensho or some random ramen shop. To my surprise, I didn't find this time to be difficult for us at all because we were both too busy working on our careers.
Groom's POV
During those busy days, we only managed to meet once or twice a month. But no matter what, we always made time for our favorite buffet date at Zensho in QC.
Bride's POV
This was a really tough time for Pats. You see, he's not used to long hours of straight studying so the review season really tested him. This was his first licensure exam too, so it really was difficult for him. There were days when he goes all day studying without talking to me! (UGH). I mostly took a supporting role, reassuring him whenever he broke down. Deep inside, I just know he'll make it. And he did!
During my PLE, I just did my best. My number one motivation was Papa and I didn't want to disappoint the people who supported me. I was in deep sleep the day the results were posted (boring).
Groom's POV
The PLE season was grueling, despite the numerous breakdowns, Kits was always there to keep me accountable and she helped me stay grounded. Her constant support kept me moving forward when I felt like giving up!
During her PLE season, knowing her, I was always confident she would pass the exam — her only real obstacle was discipline. Whenever she was on the verge of breaking down, we’d order a Tera Potato Corner to munch away the worries. During the PLE itself, after the very first day, I picked her up and immediately saw the sadness in her eyes. When I asked how it went, she broke down in tears and said Biochemistry was tough, and it made her doubt herself. But she didn’t let that moment define her. She picked herself up, faced every exam day with courage, and in the end, she became a licensed MD.
Bride's POV
Our first international trip together! And we didn't fight! LOL! As a beach girlie, I enjoyed this trip so much. Can't wait to be back after 100 years.
Groom's POV
Every moment in Bali felt like a preview of the life that we were about to build together.
Bride's POV
I'm sorry to break it to you, but I knew it was happening (to be fair, I'm a very observant person so it's really hard to surprise me). We were in Mt. Fuji and pretty much explored the whole place, but we were lingering. Pats was on his phone all the time, very focused, ZERO brightness. Then I noticed his family was panicking and I overheard his sister that we were waiting for someone. That's when I knew. I didn't want to spoil the moment so I just went along. And then a celebrity photographer approached us, who pretended to be a vlogger (OK). A few moments later, he popped the question and I said the easiest yes of my life!
Groom's POV
Our last trip before life got busy, and the most beautiful surprise- the proposal.
