Jeremy and Shai's love story began in the halls of Belvedere Parkway Elementary School, all the way back in 2004. Little did they know, their paths were destined to intertwine from the very start. Shai, two grades younger, was already familiar with Jeremy's younger brothers, Josh and Matt. Shai and Josh shared the same 3/4 class, marking the beginning of a connection that would bloom over the years.

As they progressed through junior high, they found themselves crossing paths once again, this time in the midst of what they lovingly refer to as their "awkward emo/scene phase." Picture Jeremy with his long black hair, adorned in metal band t-shirts, and riding his skateboard with effortless cool. Meanwhile, Shai rocked her own unique style, complete with long hair featuring red or blonde highlights, colored skinny jeans, band belt buckles, suspenders, and hair teased to the sky with a bow clipped to the side.

Their high school years passed by without much interaction until the spring of 2011, when Jeremy reached out to Shai on Facebook, expressing concern for her and her family's safety in the aftermath of earthquake aftershocks from the Japan tsunami. Shai, splitting her time between NYC and Manila, found comfort in Jeremy's message, sparking a rekindling of their connection.

Throughout the summer of 2011, Jeremy and Shai stayed in touch through Facebook messages, gradually deepening their bond. It wasn't long before Jeremy mustered the courage to ask Shai out on their first date in October of that year. Shai at 17 and Jeremy at 19—their connection was undeniable, and they quickly became inseparable.

Weeks turned into months, and months into years, as their love blossomed and grew. Then, on June 26, 2014, their joy multiplied with the arrival of their beautiful daughter, a tangible symbol of their love and commitment to each other.

Years passed, and on November 26th, 2022 on their 12th year anniversary. Jeremy took a momentous step forward, dropping to one knee to ask Shai the question she had been longing to hear. In a whirlwind of emotion and surprise, Jeremy had to ask three times before Shai could utter the word that would change their lives forever—YES!

And so, their journey from childhood acquaintances to high school sweethearts, to loving partners and parents, culminated in a moment of pure joy and devotion as they embarked on the next chapter of their lives together.
