DO I NEED A PASSPORT?
Yes, a passport is required to everyone traveling to Brazil (including kids). You must have at least 6 months of passport validity when traveling internationally.
If you do not have a passport or your passport is set to expire soon, we recommend starting the application/renewal process as soon as possible.
DO I NEED A VISA?
Yes, effective January 10, 2024, Brazil will require U.S citizens to obtain a visa prior to entering the country.
WHICH AIRPORT SHOULD I FLY INTO?
São Paulo - Guarulhos International Airport (GRU).
IS TRAVEL INSURANCE REQUIRED?
No, it is not required.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE IN BRAZIL?
We kindly request that all guests coming from US make their travel arrangements to São Paulo, Brazil no later than Friday, April 12, 2024.
The bride and groom will be there from April 11, 2024 - April 20, 2024.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
The average temperature in São Paulo in April for a typical day ranges from a high of 78°F (26°C) to a low of 62°F (16°C). It generally feels mildly cool with a gentle breeze. There might also be a small chance of rain.

Yes, adults can attend with their children that are listed in the RSVP under their names.

Due to limit space, we are only able to accommodate the guests we addressed on the invites.

CAN I USE US DOLLARS?
No, the Brazilian Real (BRL) is only currency accepted in Brazil. You can exchange your money at the banks and credit unions or at the airport if you prefer.
CAN I USE MY CREDIT CARD IN BRAZIL?
Yes, Visa and Mastercard are the most common credit cards accepted in Brazil. You can check with your credit card company/bank how the foreign transaction fees work.
CAN I USE MY CELL PHONE IN BRAZIL?
Yes, but keep in mind that you may be charged for additional services fees when travelling abroad. The best way to avoid that is checking with your phone carriers for the international plans they offer or ordering an eSIM/SIM card online.
Another option would be getting a local prepaid SIM card at the airport in Brazil.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
Yes, formal or semi-formal attire.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET AROUND SÃO PAULO?
While public transportation works well in São Paulo, it is a bit complicated. The best ways to get around is a rental car, taxi or Uber.
