SHE SAID YES

So, where to start.

I've known Karis for slightly over 2 years. Yes, 2 years.

The first year was an amazing experience and growing together in our relationship to God. A lot of prayer and drawing closer to God.

After that we "TALKED" for 6 months (In American terms this means getting to know her before you make things official). These six months are months of coffee shops, Sunday services together, Chick-fil-A's and praying together.

After I finally mustered the courage to ask her dad for his blessing to date her it was another 6 -7 months of serious dating, praying and drawing closer in our relationship.

The last 2 years has been some good times, some bad, and some great times. All are worth it. I wouldn't change it even if I had the power to.

I'm so blessed to have Karis in my life. Her family also is such a blessing and an encouragement to me. The Kulp family are so involved in ministry. I am super inspired by their love for Jesus. Ron and Sandra are a blessing to their family. I am super grateful for their blessing and kindness towards me and my relationship to Karis.

I am also thankful for the support from Lori and Charlie Waro in my life. They have been influential in helping my growth here. They have been like parents to me and I am thankful to have them. I am thankful for the prayers and support from my family back in Papua New Guinea too. They have supported and prayed for me through some tough times.

In addition, I am thankful for friends and mentors that have poured into me. We plan to love and serve Jesus in whatever capacity that may be. The GBSC community is a blessing to have.

I am totally in love with Karis and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. Praying that God bless our adventures together. God is the cornerstone to our relationship and that is important to us both. Keep us in your prayers.

How do I even put this happiness into words?

Yesterday, my boyfriend became my fiancé, and I cannot imagine being any more in love. He’s everything I’ve been looking for and more - so kind and loving, talented, funny, thoughtful, considerate… the list goes on. But the one thing I love most the most about him is his passionate love for the Lord. He wants to serve God in everything he does, and now we’re setting out to do just that, but together. This is everything I’ve hoped to find in my future husband, and God has been so so graceful to give me that in Jeremy.

I thank all my friends and family and all my future family for all your prayers and support throughout our relationship thus far. Please continue to pray for us as we start this amazing new journey.

Your love for Christ shines through you, Jeremy, and it makes me fall harder for you every day. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.
