Her Story - Here I was on my last full day of my girls' getaway on the beautiful island of Turks and Caicos. My girlfriends and I decided to attend the island's local fish fry. As a way to get the crowd moving, the host encouraged guests to join a dance contest. Although not a dancer, let alone on stage, I decided to join after much persuasion from the host and my friends. I was so nervous but thought to myself, "I do not know anyone here; I never have to see these people again, so why not." I ended up winning 2nd place in the contest; go figure. To celebrate my victory, we went to grab some drinks at a local bar. Jerrel approached me charming as ever and offered to buy me a drink. I accepted, and we spent the rest of the evening talking, laughing, and getting to know one another. Jerrel admitted that I caught his eye during the contest at the fish fry, of which he was in attendance - embarrassing much, lol. After loads of fun, I didn't want the night to end but had to prepare for my flight the following morning. He obviously felt the same way because he asked for my number. Thinking this would not go very far, I nonchalantly gave it to him. Well, let's just say that turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made thus far. We talked every day since that day, and now we will be spending the rest of our lives together.&nbsp; His Story - It was just a regular night at the fish fry. My daughter Jermiah and I were enjoying some father-daughter time. We were having fun watching people on stage dancing and enjoying themselves while on vacation. After the fish fry, I decided to link with a friend, and we ended up going to the sandbar. While there, I recognized one of the girls who were on stage dancing. I immediately remembered the nickname the host gave her. Danger!! When I saw her and her friends, I knew I had to introduce myself. I proceeded to speak and immediately found that she was very polite and had an infectious smile with a great personality, which led me to want to spend more time with her. It felt like meeting someone you knew for a long time. We chatted about everything from our goals and aspirations to her fears of dogs and cats; we genuinely vibed. I found out she was visiting from Boston, Massachusetts, a place that I've never been to and absolutely wasn't on my bucket list, lol. We exchanged numbers and spoke every day, which is something I never thought was possible. Having to trust someone and open up to them on a deeper level without them physically being there was something that made me feel much more connected to her than anyone else in the past. The next time I saw her was a month later in Florida for my birthday. I went to visit my mom, and she agreed to fly down to meet. From that point, we began seeing each other monthly, and I looked forward to each visit. She became my rider, my peace, my listener, and has never passed judgment. I've never questioned her loyalty. I feel like I've known her family and friends for years as they've accepted me since the beginning of our journey. When a woman makes you feel this special, you never want to live life without her. Knowing what I needed to do, made up my mind to do what needed to be done.&nbsp; Our Story - It is true what they say, what God has for you is for you. From the way we met to the love we have created, our story was written before we ever even knew each other. We are so blessed to have found one another and to have this once-in-a-lifetime kind of love. As many of you know, there have been so many sacrifices, lots of travel, lots of lonely days/nights, loads of faith. When it is all said and done, it's all been worth it #LOWEANDBEHOLD.
