Our Wedding

Everything started in the church pews of Living Stones Fellowship church. Jerry had just come from Indonesia as an international student for school and Ika had just came back to Dallas fr﻿om her undergraduate education at UT Austin. Ika always had a love for doing crazy projects at church and Jerry was always at her side, helping her execute these projects. Over time, Jerry and Ika became best friends, always supporting each other, not only in church but also in their personal lives. Jerry had always been by her side through medical school and Ika supported Jerry in his transition in living in the States. They were God's miracle and answered prayers for each other. On October 3rd, Jerry decided to ask, "I would love to know you more than a friend. Do you want to date me?" And excitedly, Ika responded, "Yes of course!" Since then, they grew in our relationship with Christ and also towards each other. They learned to love each other through these past crazy years and look forward to cherishing each other more in the future! Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things endures all things. Love never ends.1 Corinthians 3:8

Bridal Party

Johannes is the best father ever! Ika is known as "Daddy's little girl" or even "Om Bengliong's carbon copy" and she loves to listen to his dad jokes. Ika views her dad as the biggest support in her career with his steadfastness in preparing her meals and constant encouragement. He lives a Christ centered life and spiritual leader of the family. Johannes Liem- Father of the Bride

As the mother of four crazy daughters, she has raised all of us with wisdom and grace. She is known for all her wonderful teaching, encouragement and pure strength and nurturing nature as a mother. She is a vivid example of how to live a Christ Centered life and truly is the best. She loves the two doggies, doing crazy church projects ("a chip off the old block") and traveling with family. Susanna Liem- Mother of the Bride

Ika's first best friend is none other than her wonderful sister, Steffi. Growing up together, they experienced lots of fun- from staying up late at night to play games, to doing school work together and now being in the healthcare professions together. Steffi is known for her crazy ability to do children's ministry, being a wonderful dancer and loyalty as a friend and sister. You know she has got your back no matter what! Steffi Liem- Sister of the Bride

Known for being the sweetest sister of the Liem family, Tasya is known for her extremely caring nature. She loves to provide for others through giving them yummy desserts, hanging out with them and encouraging them when things get tough. Tasya has been a big source of strength for Ika when she goes through difficult times in her career and health. (Myers Briggs: ISFJ)

Nastasya Liem- Sister of the Bride

Thania is known as the most passionate sister among the Liem siblings. Her love for adventure and rock climbing shows how she is able to work hard to (literally) reach new heights. She has also been the remedy of Ika's homesickness while down in Houston as she always encourages Ika during their hangouts and fun Houston memories together. She encourages the entire family to stay healthy with her physical therapy knowledge. (Myers Briggs: ISFJ)

Nathania Liem- Sister of the Bride

Known for their exceptional cuteness, Mika and Hiro are the cutest pair of the Liem's family. Hiro has the gift of opera singing while Mika is a genius when it comes to getting her way. (Myers briggs: Mika- INTJ; Hiro- ESFP)

Family of the Bride

Known as the head and spiritual leader of the Gusti family, Sony sets great example to others on what it means to show God's love to others, including the family. He has been Jerry's inspiration on how to love others well and taught Jerry essential life skills that he may be independent. He shows Jerry steadfast love by taking him to the train station to school every morning before 6AM back in Indonesia. Also, if you have any questions about trains, you can ask him as he is the expert! (Myers Briggs: ISTJ)

Sony Wibisono- Father of the Groom

Known for her nurturing nature, Eva raised Jerry with such a kind heart and loving spirit. She is so caring and shows her love to the family through her wonderful, tasty and healthy cooking. She would even wake up before 5 AM every morning in order that her family is well fed! She is passionate about helping others to stay healthy - so ask her for any advice for healthy but yummy Indonesian recipes to cook at home! (Myers Briggs: ESFP)

Angely Eva- Mother of the Groom 

Known for her gift in drawing, Jessica's artistry inspires the world around her. Her drawings showcase her passion for art, animae and highlighting the beauty around her. When Jerry and Jessica were young, they would play in the rain with Jerry- a fond sibling memory. She has a cute personality and she loves drawing, anime and cos-plays! (Myers Briggs: ISFP)

Christy has been Ika's childhood best friend since they were basically in their mother's womb. They had so many life adventures together and always there to encourage each other through the ups and downs in life. Christy loves God, loves coffee shops, traveling to new places, teaching youth group and planning for her next adventure. (Myers Briggs: INTJ) 

Christy Purnadi

Edward is one of Jerry's closest friends since he came here to the US. Edward has been Jerry's closest confidant as they steward the ministries in LivingStones together. Also, they both share a deep love for steak and cajun and having guy's night with good food and games. (Myers Briggs: ENTJ)

Edward Gunawan

One word to describe Trixie is Joy. Trixie is also Ika's childhood friend. They shared many memories together, from serving in church together, traveling together throughout their childhood, and even going to the same college at UT Austin. Trixie loves people, the youth group and is an amazing singer whose voice will remind you of the harmonies of heaven. (Myers Briggs: ENFP)

A guy who never fails to make you laugh, Kenny has been such a blessing to everyone around him. Kenny has been one of Jerry's closest friends as they bond over games and good food. Kenny has encouraged Jerry to grow in his faith by being his transportation to church for many years. (Myers Briggs: ESFP)

Kenny Massari

Olivia is one of the most caring people Ika has ever met! She has been by her side during the puzzles of organic chemistry at UT Austin and their friendship has been constant ever since! She loves plants, cute small items and of course- boba and has been one of the biggest spiritual encouragements to Ika! (Myers Briggs: ISFJ)

Andrew is the type of guy who never fails to help others have a good time. Andrew and Jerry's friendship blossomed through encouraging each other to grow through being accountability partners, even through their long distance friendship. They both share a love for hiking. Andrew loves to serve his country in the military and a fierce loyal friend. (Myers Briggs: INFP) 

Andrew Purnadi

Gaby is not only an amazing teacher but she has such a genuine faith in Christ. She has inspired Ika in looking and surrendering to God in the hardest times and has been a source of encouragement for her. She loves food, youth group and teaching and hanging out with friends! (Myers Briggs: ISFP)

An adventurous guy, Anthony is the guy to call if you are wanting to explore and try new things. Anthony and Jerry has been friends for many years and share their love for serving in church and adventures together. (Myers Briggs: ENFP)

Known for her purest smile and genuine heart, Nicole is one of Ika's closest friends. Even though they are separated by the entire specific ocean, she never fails to call for a catch up call and their friendship is still as close as ever. You can always trust her to have your back. Worth. It will be a little bit dark with limited GPS signal on part of the return drive home, so here are some handwritten directions from Dallas:- Take highway TX-114 W towards Fort Worth- Exit towards TX-114 W and Bridgeport. On the stop sign, turn left to stay on TX-114W and towards US-81 and US-287 S.- Continue on TX-114 W for about 9 miles- Turn left onto Co Rd 4599 and drive for about 8 miles- Slight left onto Co Rd 3657 and drive for 0.5 miles. You should see a sign for The Barn At Paradise Place.&nbsp;
