Our Wedding

Our story actually starts about 11 years ago in Charleston South Carolina. In 2013 Jerry was working on a job at a new google facility outside Charleston. Joshua was stationed at the Navy Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek. We met at a bar downtown Charleston one day and instantly hit it off. Over that summer, they grew close and developed a great relationship. Jerry says he fell in love with Joshua on the day they got caught in a flash flood during a festival on the battery. Josh totaled his brand new car when he drove through a flooded intersection. Despite being totally drenched and loosing a brand new car, they still managed to have one of the best days together. Walking out of Charleston in knee deep water with smiles on their faces they realized that they made a great team no matter the circumstances. The truth is they both fell in love that day. Unfortunately, life took them in different directions. Jerry’s life as a traveling pipe fitter took him to another state. Josh didn’t know where the Navy would send him next. They reluctantly parted ways but never stopped thinking about each other. Fast forward to spring of 2021, Jerry was living in Atlanta, Joshua was living in South Carolina when Joshua took a trip. He visited Atlanta one weekend and reached out to Jerry. They reconnected and have been inseparable ever since. After over years of 8 years of no contact, they picked right back up where they left off with an even stronger connection. After six months of long distance, Josh moved to Georgia to start an exciting new chapter of their lives. In December 2023 Josh and Jerry went on a family vacation to a cabin in Gatlinburg TN where Jerry got down on one knee in front of their families and asked Joshua to marry him. The last three years have been filled with exciting new memories and travel. They got a fur baby together named Zip and in March of 2024 they bought their dream home. Now it’s time to make the official commitment and tie the knot for real.
