Where can I book my stay?
Please go to the travel tab of our website and there is a direct link available to book your stay at Iberostar through our travel agency.
How long may guests stay at the resort?
There is a 3 night minimum requirement to stay at the resort. Guests are welcome to stay longer or come earlier. Rooms will be blocked from 1/28-2/4. Our travel agency will be happy to work with you.
Are there travel accommodations to and from the resort?
You all should have submitted your flight information to Sarah Kline. She will be setting up transportation to and from the resort.
Transportation will be provided between events on the day of the wedding.
Why am I receiving multiple emails from Sarah Kline?
Please read these emails in full! These messages are incredibly important as they mention information related to your transportation to and from the airport. You should have received a confirmation email for pickup and drop-off. They also include how to pay the tourist tax and credit card holds.
How can we communicate with everyone while on the resort?
We have confirmed Verizon does not charge additional for international communication in Mexico. Since we don't know all carrier information, we suggest downloading the WhatsApp for communication prior to arriving to the resort. Wifi is free and provided at the resort.
What should I bring along for the trip?
Please make sure your passports are up to date. Passports take 6-8 weeks for processing. Your passport must be valid for 6 months after travel.
We also suggest bringing a water bottle and/or a cup to enjoy water and alcoholic beverages. There is a filtered water source located on the resort.
Don't forget your sunglasses, sunscreen, travel documents, and medications.
Please bring cash for tips. Sarah Kline has confirmed the resort accepts US currency.
If you would like to use the lazy river, we suggest bringing a floatation device with you as reviews have revealed tubes may be hard to come by. We will be bringing a few with us and a pump.
What is the weather in Riveria Maya like in January?
Warm and sunny! Average daytime temperatures are in the low 80s and high 60s at night. The rainy season in Mexico begins in April and is through November.
What is the dress code for the wedding?
Cocktail attire! For men, this includes khakis, linen, or slacks with a button-down. Ties are optional. For women, this includes maxi dress or short dresses. We ask that you do not wear shorts or jeans.
Are children invited to the wedding?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children. Thank you for understanding.
What do we do with gifts?
If you are so kind and gracious to give us a gift, we ask that you send it directly to our home in Baltimore or through our online registry. We do not want you all to stress about bringing a card or misplacing money.
