Wedding Party

Will Martin
Will Martin - Best Man
You never know how a random freshman year roommate is going to turn out, but I think I got about as lucky as you can get with Will. We went on to live together for five years, and have been best friends ever since. Will and I have always bonded over interest in similar things, but mostly the values that we hold for our lives and the people in them. Will cares deeply about his friends and family, and I know he would do anything for them. It's become very apparent to me over the last few years out of school how valuable our friendship is, Will always keeps in touch, wants to plan reasons to get together, and I know I can talk to him about anything. Jess and I are both so grateful to have Will in our lives!
Paige (Pudge) Kettenburg
Paige (Pudge) Kettenburg - Best Woman
Paige and I have been laughing at each other's antics since we were five years old. She is one of the most compassionate, hardworking, and hilariously fun people I know. Paige and I have stuck together through thick and thin. Paige was my ultimate source of comfort and advice during my ACL surgery recovery because Paige is an incredible PT and an incredible human!
Scott Watza
Scott Watza - wedding party - Keith's side
Scott has always been what I believe the embodiment of a perfect big brother. He's been a role model for me my whole life, whether it was rides to elementary and middle school on the bus together, leading the way to engineering, showing me what fun looks like, and most recently how to be a loving husband and now father :) Scott has always been a guiding light, and someone that I know I can emulate in so many aspects of my life. You don't get to choose who your family is, but I certainly would have chosen Scott for everything he's inspired me to do.
Brian P Sweeney
Brian P Sweeney - Man of Honor
Sweeney (no one calls him Brian) is the one person where Keith and I argued which side of the bridal party he should be on. Sweeney is the sole reason why Keith and I met (also shoutout Will and Grayson). Sweenz has been my number 1 study buddy and partner-in-crime at UCSB. He brings enthusiasm and fun facts everywhere he goes. Keith and I love him even though he knows precisely how to get on my nerves. Keith and I are so grateful for you Sweenz!
Glenn Watza
Glenn Watza - wedding party - Keith's side
Just as Scott has been an incredible role model and older brother, I couldn't ask much more from Glenn. As kids we were always crafting up ways to have fun and make mischief whether it was toy trains, nerf guns, or eventually soccer. Glenn is always someone I could trust and have a great time with as a kid (the epitome of what a brother should be). As we've gotten older Glenn and I still know how to get into trouble, but he's become so much more than a brother. One thing I really appreciate about Glenn is his ability to make anyone in his presence feel comfortable and welcome. The way that he immediately welcomed Jess into the family and befriended her warmed my heart.
Emily Davis
Emily Davis - wedding party - Jess's side
In 2009, Emily took my little freshman self under her wing and the rest is history. Emily has always been my go-to person for advice in tough situations. She truly lives with empathy and care, focusing on equity and inclusivity at her non-profit work and beyond. A couple examples of her generosity: Emily offered her wedding dress to me (!!) and is totally fine with spending her 1 year wedding anniversary at Keith and my wedding! She is the coolest person I know!
Megan Watza
Megan Watza - wedding party - Keith's side
From the first time I met Megan I knew she was a great addition to our family. Megan is caring, family oriented, strong willed, and the smartest sibling of the family. Megan has always been great at dealing with our family antics while still having fun with us. She and Scott are truly amazing role models for what Jess and I want to achieve with our lives and family. I'm proud to call Megan my first sister :)
Paige Sawaya
Paige Sawaya - wedding party - Jess's side
Paige and I met in Anacapa Hall at UCSB nearly a decade ago! Through trips to Trader Joe's, caramel latte's at Caje, and late night beach visits, Paige became my ultimate confidant and bestie. Paige inspires me to always see the good in others and to be outdoors! Whether it be backpacking, mountain biking, or paddle boarding, she keeps me trying new things and having a blast. I love her dearly!
Will Griffin
Will Griffin - wedding party - Keith's side
Will is everyone's favorite goof ball (nicknamed goof in college). Will and I initially bonded in college over being from Michigan and being U of M fans. I've had the great pleasure of spending the most time post college with Will of any of my college friends, which reminds me how important having that time together is. Will and I share a sense of adventure and trying to make a good time out of just about anything. We've spent countless hours in the last few years cycling, cooking (even though Will's knife skills will make anyone cringe), backpacking, wine tasting, and playing nostalgic video games; they are some of my most fond memories of that time. I really appreciate that Will always makes the effort to try something new and be adventurous, it is one of his best traits.
Adriana Rossel
Adriana Rossel - wedding party - Jess's side
Adriana is my grandmother's cousin's granddaughter, otherwise known as my 3rd cousin. Though we knew each other as little kids, we reconnected in Chile visiting our extended family in 2010! Adriana is determined, empathetic, and and fiercely fun. Fun fact: Adriana took me to my very first bar, both in Chile and the US! (sorry mom). We share passions for the Great British Baking Show and making the world a better place. She is my family and friend for life!
Sam Leuthy
Sam Leuthy - wedding party - Keith's side
Sam and I had every class together in college from sophomore year on and lived together during our Master's year. Grinding through all of our classes and the hours studying formed a life-long friendship. Sam is one of the most caring and thoughtful people I know, and he is someone I know will always be there for me (and me him). A recent trip to visit him reminds me of how much Sam is a giver and cares for those he loves. I appreciate the care Sam has always shown me, and the rest of my siblings now that they all live together in Philly.
Kendra Schultz
Kendra Schultz - wedding party - Jess's side
Ken and I met sometime during middle school, but our friendship really blossomed through our shared extracurriculars in high school. Ken is an incredibly impressive and put-together human, but I love her because she is a goofball with a great laugh. She brings out the best in others with her wit, empathy, and generosity. My favorite memories post-grad tend to involve crashing on her couch in San Francisco. She is a sister for life!
Joey Bardot
Joey Bardot - wedding party - Keith's side
Joey is another member of my freshman year floor gang. Joey is someone I spent an incredible amount of quality time with in college, really not doing much but it all being meaningful at the same time. While being very serious and quiet to most, I know Joey as an adventurous deeply caring person. Joey, while being extremely busy in med school and residency in recent years always finds time to connect, and I know he'll be a lifelong friend.
Emma Batmazian
Emma Batmazian - wedding party - Jess's side
Emma and I met at Union Middle School then became close in high school. She is always teaching me about the value of friendship and bringing people together. She is the life of the party and the best social events organizer. She is also my go-to person for skincare and fashion advice. I can always count on Emma to be there where I need her and to be the first person on the dance floor. Also, she's an incredible wing woman that helped Keith and I officially start dating!
Bob Stricko
Bob Stricko - wedding party - Keith's side
Bob and I met working at Intuitive and immediately became friends due to our similar personalities and enjoyment of exploring new things around the Bay Area. Fast forward a year and Bob and I became roommates, and it was a perfect match. We're both extremely routine oriented and there was a period of 6 months where we pretty much just ate eggs for every single dinner which we are still known for. We also bonded over our enjoyment of cooking new meals, hosting friends for game nights, and generally trying to come up with activities to have a good time. Bob and I also lived together at the beginning of the pandemic (with the addition of Jess) which was an additional bonding experience for all of us. It is a time I look back on and am grateful to have been able to spend such a tough time with the people I really care about. Bob was able to put up with Jess and her lack of vigor stirring things on the stove and the rest is history. Bob is one of the most dependable and thoughtful people I know, and both Jess and I are so grateful to have him in our lives!
Connor Hauck
Connor Hauck - wedding party - Jess's side
Con is my big bro :) As siblings do, we bickered a lot growing up, though we did have some great moments with our Lego battles and love of Star Wars. As we've ~matured~, our friendship has become so special to me. Connor is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He is so generous with his time and with his career choices, pivoting from finance to working at Sean's autism center! He is a great brother to both me and Sean. I love him so much and am grateful he's part of the wedding party!
Francesco Munaco
Francesco Munaco - wedding party - Keith's side
As anyone that knew me in high school can attest, Fran and I were joined at the hip throughout high school. We spent most days after school doing P90X, watching movies, or making legendary Kroger runs to buy ice cream and frozen pizza. Our bond was formed over quality time which is a time I look back on and cherish. Throughout college and subsequent years we have remained close and continue our bond. Fran is funny, silly, and goofy but at the same time cares deeply about the people he loves. Fran is the epitome of a family man and he welcomed me into his family, which is something I am eternally grateful for.
Sean Hauck
Sean Hauck - wedding party - Jess's side
Last but not least, we have my wonderful little brother Sean. Sean is so sassy, silly, and lovable. His laugh is absolutely infectious. His love of the nature reminds me to appreciate the small moments. It means so much to have Sean celebrate Keith and my marriage. We love you Sean!!
