Jess and Gary met the summer of 2014 working a summer job for Syracuse University student housing. Jess first noticed Gary had no need for a ladder while painting tall ceilings or installing light fixtures and thought that might be nice to have around. It wasn't until 6 years later that they reconnected thanks to our mutual friend Rachel Hutter. Jess and Gary realized they share the same love for skiing, competitive board games (catan), camping, boat stuff and being our goofy selves and have been inseparable since.

Gary proposed to Jess on February 5, 2024 while they were on a ski trip at Vale mountain, Colorado. Secrets are challenging for Gary to keep to himself so Jess may have had a suspicion something was about to happen.
