Indeed we did! We officially got married on August 11, 2023 in a small ceremony in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. Nikki's parents flew out to attend and we celebrated with our Canadian family and friends while others in Nikki's family watched using Facebook messenger. However, we still want to celebrate and declare our love and commitment to each other with our friends and family in the states, so we are doing it again (unofficially) on June 8th, 2024!

We will be at a church camp on the lake. The ceremony will be out in a field. There will be lake access for swimming, as well as yard games available. There are bathrooms with showers on site. There is also a dining hall and a firepit which will be lit later in the evening.

Casual/comfort wear is recommended, as this will hopefully be an outdoor event (weather permitting) at a camp. There is a lake with a dock and swimming access, as well as a bathroom with showers where you can change, so please feel free to bring a swimsuit and a floatie if you'd like to swim! We don't recommend wearing heels because we will be out in a field for the ceremony, but if you are feeling extra brave, you do you boo!

You betcha! Dinner will be served in the evening after the ceremony and we will have a variety of non-alcoholic drinks on hand. Alcohol is permitted, but won't be provided so please feel free to BYOB! Dinner will have vegetarian options for all the leaf lovers out there.

For info on our hotel block discount, please see the Travel page of this website. Other cities that have hotels near the camp are Becker and Monticello. There are also a few AirBnB options that are close as well. In Elk River, there are a few places that have a rate of $57 and are a 20 minute drive to the camp itself. We will also have space reserved for tent camping. There is no charge if you'd like to camp overnight, but it will help us out if you could let us know that you are going to be tent camping in order to ensure there will be enough room for everyone.
