Jess and Justin met in 2021 when they joined the inaugural DBU Debate team. They first noticed each other while competing at a tournament in Tennessee. After placing a bet on who could say the nicest things about the other, Justin pretended to lose so he could ask Jess out. The past two years have been filled with In-N-Out runs, tournament adventures, and even a kidney stone!

In August of 2023, Justin was able to pull one over Jess with a surprise engagement at one of her favorite places, the beach. They are looking forward to the future with their big move to Washington D.C. where Justin will be attending Georgetown University!
