Ian and Jess were friends on Facebook before meeting for the first time at their friends' wedding in 2018. Ian referred to her as "The hot friend."

Years later, they were all in a discord chat playing games and cutting it up before Ian famously and like an olympian slid into her DMs with a perfect 10/10 score. At least that's what he tells himself to this day. Slowly but surely sparks started to fly and butterflies filled one's stomach. They would Facetime every night falling asleep together. Long distance was hard, but they made it.

When Jess finally came to visit Georgia since she was living in Boston at the time, Ian picked Jess up from the airport but little did they know this would set the tone for what was to come—laughing and giggling the whole car ride along with the sense of humor meshing perfectly. Soon Ian flew out to Boston to stay a weekend with Jess. Ian arrived on a snowy night in February. Ian and Jess sat in the sunroom of her apartment and watched the snow fall as they talked and talked for hours.

Jess planned a date night downtown Boston and showed him all of the cool spots and the hidden gems she'd discovered since living there. This is where Jess and Ian fell deeper in love. Ian left to go back to Georgia and they were sad but they knew it wasn't going to be long-distance forever.

A few months passed and after many discussions, they both decided on something that would change their lives forever. Jess moved to Georgia after living in Boston for years. Jess initially moved in with her best friend Melissa to help her out while Melissa was pregnant. Jess then moved in with Ian.

Jess and Ian celebrated their first anniversary in January of 2023 and shortly after that, they found out they were expecting their first child! Jess was very sick for the first 4-5 months of her pregnancy and was sadly bedridden. As soon as she was finally able to be out and about, Ian surprised Jess by asking her to marry him! It was the easiest YES of her life. What an eventful year it was.

Their baby boy Z'ev was due to arrive on October 14th, 2023, and this made things so much more real. Ian and Jess fell even more in love with their new life. As challenging as being a parent is, they would never change it for the world. As baby Z'ev grew, they began to plan their wedding and they never looked back. They are so excited to spend forever together.
