Unfortunately due to venue capacity we can’t have plus ones. Only those on the invitation can attend, we hope everyone understands
Can my kids come?
Again, due to venue capacity restrictions we won’t be able to have your children attend. Only the children in the wedding party will be present. We apologize for any inconvenience, we hope you can use it as an opportunity for a date day!
Can I take photos?
We will be having an unpluggd ceremony and ask that guests refrain from taking pictures. We will have one dedicated person to take pictures/videos during the ceremony on a phone. We have a very talented photogrpahy team to capture our memories for us. After the ceremony guests can take as many pictures/videos as they want, we encourage it!
Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?
As long as the weather permits, we will have the cermony outdoors in the garden, coktail hour will be under the pavillion, and the reception will be inside. If we get the luck of rain on our big day, everything will be inside the reception hall.
What should I wear?
Formal/cocktail attire is requested. The bridal party are wearing dusty pink and eucalyptus green, if those colours could be avoided.
Where can I park?
There is parking at the back of the venue. Drinking and driving will not be tolerated, and this will be enforced by security.
Will there be a bar?
Yes of course, there is a fully stocked bar at the venue! It is CASH only, and there is no ATM on site.
Do I have to travel between locations?
No, thankfully our venue is all in one! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all at Northview Gardens.
Where can I stay?
For any out of town guests we have a room block at the Best Western Otonabee inn. Just call to book (705-742-3454) and say you’re with the Scriver/Ellis wedding. Due to our wedding start time we recommend booking the Friday night as well as the Saturday as check in time is not until 3pm.
I have more questions about the wedding, who can I ask?
Questions can be directed to Jess. If questions come up in the days leading up to the wedding, our moms would be the best people to ask (Daisy or Kim).
