Are the wedding ceremony and the reception at the same venue?

Yes! Everything will take place at the Bilmar Beach Resort!

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our afternoon ceremony will be outdoors on the beach while cocktail hour and the reception will take place on a covered patio. Guests will have to walk to their seats in the sand and for that reason, we do recommend shoes that are easy to remove for your comfort. **If the weather does not allow for an outside ceremony or reception we will be moved indoors at a backup location at the venue. **

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Florida in May can be hot during the day and have milder temperatures at night and with being on the beach you can also expect some tropical weather! Bring the swimsuits and the (Reef Friendly) sunscreen and come enjoy the beautiful Florida weather with us!

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

For guests staying at the venue or within driving distance of the venue, there is on-site parking. For guests staying nearby or driving distance we also suggest using a ride-share service so you can enjoy the wedding responsibly!

What is the dress code?

Beach Formal (think cocktail hour but on a beach). We kindly ask guests to refrain from Hawaiian shirts, jeans, shorts, tacky sundresses, or any sort of casual wear during the wedding celebrations. We also kindly ask guests to stay away from the color white or steel blue.

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Can I bring my kids?

While we adore children, we've opted for an adults-only affair to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for the evening. The venue offers onsite childcare and we will also have a babysitter for you to use if you need options. If you have any concerns or special circumstances, please don't hesitate to contact us directly to discuss further.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We kindly ask that you keep the wedding ceremony "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos at the ceremony. However, we encourage all the picture-taking you can do during the reception and any other events thereafter and we will be providing a QR code for you to upload them for us to see!

Will there be an open bar?

Of course! There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception, however, we do recommend bringing cash or a credit card along if you plan to attend the after-party, as drinks after the reception will not be covered.

What food will there be?

We'll be serving light-passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a buffet dinner and dessert afterward.

What if I have a dietary requirement?

Please message the bride (407-690-6088) before April 10th with any dietary restrictions.

Are there any other wedding events going on?

The wedding party will be having Beach / Pool days on Thursday and Friday and all are welcome to join us! We will also have brunch on Sunday after the wedding for those who would like to attend as well! (brunch is self-paid for and not paid for by the bride and groom)

What date should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that all guests RSVP by April 10th, 2025

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

We do! And we would love it if you used it! #amaywego

I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?
