The ceremony starts at 4:30pm, however the Pavilion will be open to guests at 4:00pm. Should you arrive earlier, Stanley Park is open to the public and you may explore the parks. Please note that there will likely be traffic when heading to the venue due to its location. Allow an additional 30 minutes to anticipated arrival time.
Can I bring a plus one?
While we wish that every one can be accommodated, we can only accommodate those formally invited to stay within our set budget. Therefore, our wedding will only be open to those who have received an invite. Thank you for understanding!
Where do I RSVP?
You can RSVP directly on our website! Just click the “RSVP” tab and complete the questions asked. Please note that the formal invites date February 2nd, 2024. This deadline has now changed to March 2nd, 2024.
What do I wear?
Women can wear formal/cocktail attire (midi to floor length dresses, jumpsuits, etc). Men can wear formal to semi-formal/cocktail attire. So a suit is not mandatory but dress pants and a dress top is expected. We also ask that guests avoid wearing mainly white/ivory outfits as this is reserved for the bride. The wedding is a formal, garden theme so pops of colours are very welcome!
Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the Stanley Park Pavilion. The ceremony will be approximately 30-45 minutes outdoors in the gardens and the cocktail hour and reception will take place inside the pavilion. Photos of the venue can be found here: https://stanleyparkpavilion.com/gallery/
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We ask that you kindly put your phones away on silent during the ceremony. We hired an incredible photographer and will absolutely share the photos with you!
Should I bring a gift to your wedding?
Since you’re travelling for our wedding, making the trip is a gift in itself - physical gifts are absolutely not necessary! But if a gift is on your mind, we would be so grateful for any contribution to our honeymoon fund. It will allow us to look forward to the day sooner! This honeymoon fund will be set up on the day of the wedding.
Will there be an open bar?
Ha! We wish. Each guest will have two drink tickets that will be placed at your assigned table. You may continue to purchase more drinks at the bar (beer, wine, and house spirits will be available for purchase). Non-alcoholic drinks will be available as well.
I’m driving, where do I park?
There are 15 pay parking spaces located directly beside the Pavilion (venue). Another 200 spaces are available in the surrounding areas, next to the Miniature Train. Stanley Park also has a number of overflow parking on the west end of Pipeline Road. Please see Easy Park for more details or you can call 1-604-682-6744.
