Jesse and I met during orientation week at the Masters' University. We ended up in the same group of friends, but neither of us were interested in each other at first. I remember first getting to know him better when we went to Magic Mountain with a group of Masters students. We talked a lot and I really enjoyed it. But I was also convinced that I was going to be single my whole life and I had not planned on dating. So I ignored any feelings for him.

Then we started going to the same church and I saw what a godly man he was and how he wanted to study God's Word and obey it. I remember we had a chapel about finding someone to mentor you, and the next day at Bible Study, Jesse asked one of our elders to mentor him. I was really impressed because I had never seen such a humble guy before. Well, after that, I started liking Jesse and eventually he asked me to Fall Fest.

We had such a great time at Fall Fest, and then, a few weeks later he told me that he liked me and wanted to date me. I was confused since no one had ever liked me before and I didn't know how to respond, so I just said, "I like you, but I don't know if I want to date you."

Poor Jesse, he was so confused, but he was nice about it and gave me time to think it over. I prayed about it and God helped me realize that Jesse was the one He had chosen for me. We started dating in Fall 2022 and it's been the most amazing time of my life. We have both grown so much in our faith as we learned to love one another and love God more. I am very thankful for Jesse and am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him. :)
