Half sisters was always such a weird concept to me when growing up; all of us were just simply sisters, no fractions necessary. Now that I am older, it makes sense with you: More than just a sister, she’s my best friend (I’d say about half and half). Whether it was watching each other take losses or watching each other succeed, we took turns raising one another as we grew up (and as we continue to grow). She is the person who knows every detail that is stitched into the cloth of who I am from the day I was born, and who understands me from the ground up.  The saying “blood is thicker than water” has never applied to me when it comes to family: bond, loyalty, and love… but in this instance, it does. She may be my MOH, but I’m the one who is honored to have her by my side.

This wedding(/marriage/MAN) is completely different than the first one. I threw it all out and started fresh… aside from one major detail: MY BEST GAL. Deana has been there for all the big ones, including the birth of our Kansie. She’s got the biggest heart, and the most gentle/accepting spirit. She’s my oldest, continuous close friend, and one that I hold most dear. I remember not only looking up to her, but also being able to go to her about anything. Having her support me not only when I make the wrong decisions (and there have been many), but also when I make the right ones has life altering and priceless. Luckily, thankfully, some things just never change!

Does anyone else have that person that you consider to be your rock? The person who is there through all your bullshit, not just to live it with you but also to call you to be the person they see you as, not just the person you’re settling for. The person who makes sure you aren’t giving up on yourself, even when they probably should’ve given up on you a long time ago. That’s My Miya. 💛 She’s dug me out of the deepest trenches of my life, and I can genuinely say I would not and could not be the mom and woman I am today without her. I am eternally thankful to have had her, and to still have her now that life is a little more bearable.

Who you gonna call? Gho… no, OSHAY. She is the girl that has never once not shown up for me when I was in need. And she’s done it countlessly, without pause. We’ve known of each other for so long, but barely became friends in early adulthood. Now it’s hard to find something we don’t know about the other, or something we don’t share (even though we have like no proof we are best friends other than about 3 pictures together). There are so many HUGE milestones we’ve been with each-other for, side by side, at the drop of a hat. She gave Kansie her first best friend, and some of my most cherished moments have been out girls playing together.

Villa Nueva State Park has a campground called El Cerro Campground with hookup sites for RV/trailer accommodations. It is about 13 miles from the ranch (commute time of 30minutes) and is open year round. It has showers and toilets on site, as well.

Our venue, Blame Her Ranch, has a la carte Bambi Airstreams and Luxury Wagons available for rent per night. If this is something you’re interested in, please contact either Jesse or Kaily and we can coordinate with the venue to get you booked. Wagons: 180 SQ feet, Air Conditioning/Heating, full bath steps away, king bed, two twins, Pendleton bedding, refrigerator and coffee maker, sleeps 4 Bambi: Air Conditioning/Heating, full indoor bath, queen and pull out, kitchen, TV, Sleeps 4 Rates are $395 a night, plus cleaning fee of $100, due 10 days before check-in, Gross Sales Tax of 6.8333% and Lodgers Tax of 5%. 50% down due at the signing of contract, remaining 50% due 90 days prior to arrival.

Driving Directions to Blame Her Ranch: IMPORTANT: GPS or Google Maps isn’t the most reliable on the way to the ranch, but will be helpful if you go north through Santa Fe. Please opt for going up via I25 through Santa Fe. We dont recommend traveling on I-40 as it may try taking you on some dirt roads that are easy to get lost on. If you would prefer to use GPS, the address is 354 County Road B31A, Ribera, NM. *Always stay on I-25 until you exit on 323 for Villanueva.* You can use this until you exit on 323. After that, GPS loses signal and Google doesnt know exactly where the ranch is. Please refer to these directions from that point on or you will get lost. Take 1-25 towards Santa Fe, NM. You will be on 1-25 for approximately 75 minutes. Go passed Santa Fe, over the Glorieta Pass and passed the Pecos & Rowe exits. Exit on 323 (Villanueva) and turn right. You are now on Highway 3. Head south on Highway 3 towards Villanueva. You will go past The Post office on your left, go down a hill and over the railroad tracks. Continue to follow Highway 3 until you come to a fork in the road which is 484 JCT – turn right. (This is approximately 5 miles after the exit, next to a bar and a body shop.) Stay on 484 for approximately 4.5 miles going up the mountain. You will pass a large school on your left and a school bus stop sign, keep going. Drive to the very top of the Mountain. When you reach the top of the mesa, drive for approximately 1.5 miles and we are the first driveway on the right-hand side. If the road turns from paved to dirt, youve gone too far. Just remember it is at the top of the mountain and to keep an eye out on the *right* side of the road for our big rustic gate with an arch and post office boxes. You will see boxes for the US Postal Service by a large rust colored metal gate on your right. There will be a marked parking lot to the left inside the gates you can park in.

Blame Her Ranch

Although we are not allowed to have guests who are unaccounted for stay the night at the ranch, we have unlimited day use access for our guests. For those staying in the nearby areas after the wedding, we’d like to invite you to come up and join us Sunday for a bunch of activities and to spend more quality time with us on your trip. There are a bunch of things to do on the ranch, including skeet shoot, game room, theatre, sauna, hot tub, a driving range, etc (complete list in link above). The main reason we chose this venue was because it gave us the opportunity to spend the night and spend more time with all the people who made time in their busy lives to join us on our big day. So no matter where you choose your night of accommodations, feel free to join us Sunday for some more fun.

We love local, and we love this little hotel! It’s modestly priced, yet very put together, clean, and eclectic. It gives you the feel and immersive experience of Santa Fe, without breaking the bank.
