UPDATE: Room blocks have now been released to the public, but we still encourage you to book at one of these spaces to take advantage of our shuttle on the wedding day.
We have two room block options available: one in Black Mountain and one in Asheville. We will plan to have a bus or shuttle transporting guests between the hotels and the wedding venue on September 21. We encourage you to book a room at your earliest convenience at one of these hotels or in another location in Black Mountain, Asheville, or Montreat. Black Mountain is about thirty minutes from the regional airport in Asheville, NC and twenty minutes from downtown Asheville. Alternatively it's just shy of two hours from the Charlotte-Douglas International airport. If you're coming from Bloomington, Asheville is around 7.5 hours of driving (or you can book a one-stop flight from Indianapolis)!
Should I stay in Black Mountain, Asheville, or Montreat?
Up to you! The Monte Vista is in a prime location if you're interested in exploring Black Mountain. It's only a 10-minute drive from the wedding venue and within walking distance of art shops, bars, and restaurants in town. If you're looking to spend the weekend in western NC's urban epicenter, consider the Asheville option instead. The hotel is a short walk from the welcome party location, a closer drive to and from the airport, and not too far from the vibrancy of downtown Asheville. Lastly, Montreat is a great option if you're looking to stay in a smaller town tucked away in the mountains, with plenty of hiking trails nearby. As mentioned, we will have a shuttle running during preset pickup and dropoff times on the wedding day, with stops at the hotels with room blocks as well as the Anderson parking lot in Montreat.
Are there other places to stay besides these hotels?
Of course! There's a Hampton Inn in Black Mountain, plenty of hotels in Asheville, and a variety of AirBnb options in the surrounding area. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions about these options in terms of proximity to wedding events.
How reliable is Uber/Lyft in this area?
Ubers and Lyfts are present, but the area's not necessarily overflowing with available drivers. If you fly in, we would encourage you to book any transport in advance or rent a car just in case ride-sharing becomes unreliable that weekend!
Will the shuttles run on Friday to the Welcome Party?
We're only using shuttles on Saturday that run between the wedding venue, our room-blocked hotels, and Montreat, so please plan any additional transportation needs accordingly! There is plenty of parking in Biltmore Village (the location of Hi-Wire Brewing, our Welcome Party location) should you anticipate driving.
