Jesse and James met in the winter of 2020 when James moved to Colorado and moved in with our respective best friends.

Our friendship started with Sunday brunches and lots of card games, especially the game Asshole. During this time there was tones of mutual flirting as well as subsequent time denying it. It took a few gentle nudges from our friend Sloan for us to both admit we had feelings for one another.

Our love story started when James sent Jesse a text asking if she wanted to go out to dinner just the two of them at Punchbowl Social. Our first date consisted of James kicking Jesse's booty in bowling and hours of talking and laughing together. There was a ton of nervous energy as we both knew we had the potential to make each other very happy or break each other's hearts.

After a night out at a baseball game James asked Jesse to be his girlfriend or rather said "you're my girlfriend right?" The casualness and easefulness of this simple interaction has been a constant pattern in our relationship.

We designed Jesse's ring together and James started actively planning a special engagement for Jesse. However Jesse had another plan - she decided she wanted to propose to James. So Jesse asked James's mom for James's hand and planned a special weekend in San Diego for them. When it came time for the engagement Jesse forget everything she planned to say and simply went with "I guess I will do this here" to which James responded with yes and grabbed Jesse's ring and also proposed. Needless to say it was a very special morning!

And now, we want to celebrate our love story with all of our favorite people!
