I met Meagan back in high school when she joined my Girl Scout troop and came on our whale watching trip. She was a super shy middle schooler who was tall for her age. I was a feisty, outspoken 5'5" 9th grader who was constantly telling her "Meagan, Move!" as I was trying to maneuver around our hotel room. From this our friendship was born. Over the years we became good friends and then best friends after college. She has helped me through some of the hardest years of my life and I am so thankful that she still calls me up for bonfire nights, cheese and wine dates, and long chats over the phone. In fact, it was one of those phone chats in which I first confessed to anyone that I was in love with Nate.

I have known Jackie for practically my whole life. She is more family than friend. Our families have spent all the major holidays together for the last 20 some odd years. My wedding wouldn't be complete without her standing by my side. She knows and understands me better than even I understand myself at times. In fact, when I called her, completely stressed out, shortly before leaving for Iceland in November of 2021, I mentioned I had started seeing this guy (i.e. Nate). Without me saying it, she was like "You really like him, don't you?" To which I responded "Yeah, I think really do. How could you tell?" She came back with "I can here it in your voice. Your whole mood shifted when you started talking about him."

Brian is my oldest friend, whom I met at Wolfsville Elementary in Second Grade. He and I made many childhood memory on his family farm. Summer days were spent, wrangling sheep, telling folk stories of the gnomes who dwell in the woods, camping, climbing pine trees, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with our local Wolfsville friends. As we both got older our scenery changed but there was always a sense of adventure within that friendship that lead to many a great story. Brian and I both share a passion for working with our hands, a good pair of boots, shooting, and the occasional motorcycle ride.

Growing up Brandon was always my right hand man. When I was 9ish, he decided that sleeping in his room was lonely... so Brandon took over my closet. He filled it with sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, and made it clear he was now my roommate. One of the great things about Brandon is his creativity and imagination. He loves to express himself across a variety of mediums, anywhere from the occasional drawing, to reprogramming and playing his old favorite video games, to his love of all things pop art, to his recent interest in playing the bass guitar. Brandon and I share an enjoyment for obscure comedy shows and we have always tossed around the idea of doing a podcast together one day.
