On September 27th, 2019, Andrew gets a call from his good friend, Kiley inviting him to go out for some drinks. At this time, Andrew had recently graduated from college and was living in Iowa City, IA and was highly hesitant on going out. With hours of persuasion, he agreed and drove to his hometown of Davenport, IA and met with his closest friends. Kiley and Andrew grew tired of the bar they were at and decided to check out Mary’s on 2nd. (A local hometown LGBT bar). Kiley and Andrew ordered a drink and went outside to sit around the fire-pit. Kiley and Andrew were sharing some stories about how Nursing life is rough and Andrew mentioned “He looks horrible in scrubs.” To his surprise, he hears a voice behind him say “I think your cute as hell!” Andrew quickly turns (to his right) and noticed an older gentleman and thanked him, and continued on with his conversation. Once again, he hears “No, I MEAN IT!” This time, he turns around and sees Jesse, with a leather coat and beer in hand. Andrew instantly melts. He and Kiley go back inside, nervously and tells her “Go get his number.” As a good friend does, she goes and he comes straight to the table and says “I’m Jesse!”. Andrew immediately invites him to come along with the charades to the next bar where they sit at a booth and get to know each other. Andrew asks Jesse “Do you like Metallica?” which he replied “Yes, I dig ‘em”. Being as they are one of Andrew’s favorites he states “We are getting married, I hope you know.”

Andrew and Jesse immediately fell in love. Andrew relocated back to the Quad Cities with Jesse, and 4 months later (impulse decision) the couple thought “Let’s move to Florida!” They sell the house and relocated to Pensacola where they spend all their time at the beach. The couple loves watching horror movies, their 2 fur babies: Ava & Gizmo, and are currently planning to buy a house in Manatee County, Florida.
