I came across Jesse's instagram page back in 2018, his page was 99% the cobra .. with only a few photos of himself if you scroll way back on his feed. Initial thoughts on my end were, "How freaking cute... I need to meet this man!". After many Instagram DM's and Snapchats back and forth, we finally decided on a weekend together in Raleigh. We had sushi, we cruised around in the car, and we laughed .. a lot.

From that first weekend, we were constantly talking .. unfortunately, we didn't get to see each other that often and the timing was ultimately not right for us.

In February of 2020, Valentines Day weekend and Lights Out race weekend, we reconnected over a silly DM about bloody marys. Jesse invited me to come spend the weekend with him the track. The next day, I left my house at 4 am to drive to South Georgia. I was so nervous walking through that gate but, as soon as we saw each other it felt like no time had passed.

We had an amazing weekend together and I knew that there could be no one else. The rest is history .. we have a house, our dog Finley, and now a wedding date.
