Jessi and Jake met 5 years ago through a mutual acquaintance and developed a strong friendship.
Over the years Jake proved to be a shoulder for Jessi cry on and was always a phone call away to lend a helping hand, which typically involved some car related mishaps.
For Jake Jessi was, from the very beginning, someone that he just loved being around. Even as friends, she was someone that he felt like he could shamelessly be himself around. Something that, especially at the time, was very rare. That friendship got Jake through some of the most difficult times in his life, whether Jessi knew it at the time or not. 
Jessi and Jake were under the impression that they were forming a best friend relationship until a visit when Jake built Jessi a computer. He got to thinking, and several months later with one expertly crafted text message he changed everything between them.
Even before their first date Jake jumped through every hoop that Jessi threw his way proving that without a doubt he was everything that she'd been looking for.
Over the next 9 months their adoration, respect, and trust for one another grew to the point where Jake realized he had to put a ring on her finger.
On December 16th, 2023 Jake took Jessi on the same hike that he took her on their very first date. Only this time he dropped to one knee with a ring box in hand and Jessi squealed yes!
