Our Wedding

We met and became friends while we were attending high school in our home town. We always liked each other, but it took a while for us to get our act together and start dating. Once we did though, we never looked back! We have now been together eight years and live happily in our Ottawa home with our rambunctious and adorable pets, Scully and Ruby.

How We Met

On a sunny August morning, Jessica woke up to Derek frantically exclaiming that their cat had knocked out a window screen and escaped during the night! She immediately (and groggily) jumped out of bed and ran downstairs to start the search. 

However, upon descending the stairs, instead of a missing cat she found Derek kneeling in the living room, holding a ring! Jessica (who was quite disoriented) can't quite remember what he said after that, but does remember saying "OK!". 

After the proposal, Derek whisked her off on a surprise trip to Montreal to celebrate.

Best part of getting married at a camp? The celebrations last all weekend!

We invite you to join us in staying overnight at Cedar Ridge so that you can be where the action is! Guests can choose to spend the night on Sunday following the reception, or both Saturday and Sunday (if you choose to join us for the rehearsal dinner as well).&nbsp;





What is the cost?





$50.00 per adult, per night (children 12 and under stay for free). 





What is included? 





Guests staying over on Sunday night will be able to enjoy a day of camp activities (canoeing, wall-climbing, aerial rope courses, and more!) prior to the ceremony, as well as additional provided meals (a lunch before the festivities and a brunch the following day). Accommodations will be found in the simple and cozy cabins onsite. 





Guests staying over on both Saturday and Sunday will enjoy all of the above perks, plus the rehearsal dinner and additional camp activities that will take place on Saturday!





What isn't included? 





Rooms will not include linens (it is sleep-away&nbsp;camp, after all), so don't forget to bring your pillow and sleeping bag!
