It all started with a swipe! Yup another online dating success story. In this modern age everyone seems to find love with a simple swipe. Jessica &amp; Dylan started talking at the beginning of June 2020. Their first date was right before Father's Day. They had dinner at The Sutler Saloon and then went to Losers Bar &amp; Grill for some live music! Funny story- they almost ended the date with a handshake because Dylan was almost too nervous to kiss Jessica goodbye. Jess knew then he was different from every other guy! Shortly after their first date, Jessica caught Covid and they couldn't see each other again until July 5th! They went to Top Golf, then he drove her across town to get her "basic white girl" Starbucks drink and then ended the date visiting The Parthenon. The following day they continued their date since it was a holiday. They walked around downtown Franklin, TN and then decided to go to a jump park. This was such a fun date because they really got to have fun and be kids. They continued to see each other and they really enjoyed being with each other. But it wasn't serious because Jessica knew Dylan would be moving that following January for his job. Ugh! But by the time September rolled around they expressed how much they liked each other and they didn't want this to end when he would move. So they took a trip to St. Louis to celebrate Dylan's birthday. Then Dylan dressed up like a tooth to live out Jessica's dreams of being a tooth &amp; tooth fairy for Halloween! What a good sport he was! It was at this Halloween party that Dylan asked Jessica to be his girlfriend "officially"! Of course she said "YES!" They spent Thanksgiving going home to meet Jessica's family and then Christmas in Ohio to meet Dylan's family. Fast forward to the dreaded January when Dylan had to pack all of his stuff and move hundreds of miles away to Hanover, PA. Jessica also made this trip with him.. It was a long 12 hours in the car! Then a very emotional flight home for Jessica. This started their long distance relationship. What a ride that has been for them! Every 4 weeks Jessica flew out to see Dylan. In between they FaceTimed everyday, multiple times a day along with texting non stop. They did this for several months until Dylan drove to Hilton Head to surprise Jessica for her birthday on a girls trip! After that they visited Gatlinburg together with his family, went home to So. IL for Josh's birthday, took a trip to Florida for a wedding, spent a weekend in Baltimore celebrating Dylan's birthday and then Dylan surprising Jess again for her Halloween party and their one year anniversary! Whew! They stayed busy! The weekend after Thanksgiving, they took a weekend trip to Philadelphia because Jessica wanted to visit the Christmas Village! It was here on a Sunday night that Dylan popped the question! As nosey as Jessica is.. she really was surprised because she wasn't expecting it! The story goes like this- Jess asked a stranger to take their picture under this whimsical lighted arch and then Dylan got down on one knee and asked if she would spend the rest of her life with him! The stranger quickly realized what was happening and got pictures and videos of their special moment to relive over and over again! Now they finally have a countdown to when they no longer have to do long distance! They are so excited to get married and spend forever together. As hard as long distance has been on the two of them, it has also been a learning experience and has helped strengthen their relationship. They can't wait to spend every night watching movies, taking weekend trips to new cities, going on adventures, traveling to new countries and learning new things together. They are so excited for their wedding and they can't wait to celebrate their love for each other with all of their family and friends!

Alex and I met our sophomore year at WKU. We both rushed the same sorority (Phi Mu). Then our second semester she become my RA in my dorm. After that we became inseparable! She was my go-to person all during college (target runs, crafts, formals, you name it we were always together!) After I graduated and moved to Nashville, Alex started dating her now husband Gemonee. It was such a special season of life to go through her engagement and wedding as her maid of honor.. and now she gets to stand by me as my matron of honor! She is the best friend that is always there and is probably the most down to earth person. Once you meet her, you love her! 

Alex Brown

Mary and I met through a Phi Mu Alumni page a few years ago when she was looking for a roommate when she was moving to Nashville. At the time I had no idea she would become one of my very best friends. Mary is such a kind-hearted person and never meets a stranger! Something she and I have in common is our love for talking (especially with random people), laughing, dancing and being so over the top with mostly everything we do! She has been helping me plan this wedding since before I got engaged! She is the therapist I need and the young, go out and have fun influence I sometimes need. When we are together we are always having fun and truly just enjoy hanging out with each other (even if its just life chats, wine and movies). I'm so happy to have her by my side and be my maid of honor, 

Mary Fuchs

Casey and I have been best friends since the age of 3 or 4. We grew up living only a few miles from each other and going to church together. We spent so much time with each other growing up that it truly felt like we were sisters. We would have sleepovers and talk about our weddings one day and what that would look like. The one thing that always stayed constant was that we would be there for each other and be up there side by side on each other's wedding day. I watched Casey marry her Prince Charming and then have a sweet baby girl a few years later. She is the best mom and she is so driven in everything that she does. Since I moved to Nashville we don't see each other as often, but when we do we always pick up exactly where we left off. She is a true friend through and through and I truly cannot imagine my day without her by my side. 

Casey Forthman

Kelcy and I met many, many years ago around the age of 5 or 6. The story goes.. we met at a family friends house and I didn't want to play with Kelcy at first.. not sure why, but that quickly changed because shortly after we became inseparable! Oh the stories I could tell! From going to grade school- high school together.. being on the dance team together. Or how we had walkie talkies and would talk to each other frequently (before we had phones or computers!) We grew up less than a mile from each other and we took full advantage of that. I was always fortunate to have 2 of my best friends live so close by (thats unheard of when you live out in the country!) Kelcy has always been a constant in my life. Through all of life's ups and downs this girl has been by my side. Now she is married to a great man and she is thriving in life. The story of how she met her husband is a cute one and I was also very involved in it! Ask me if anyone would like to hear it! I can't wait to go through this season of life with this girl by my side. I'm so thankful for a friend like Kelcy and that she will be by my side as I say "I Do" to the love of my life!

Kelcy Navrkal

Allyson and I met several years ago while in line for a free concert in Nashville. We exchanged socials since we chatted for awhile and were both fairly new to the city and both figured we could use a new friend. Neither of us reached out. For the next 2 years we would run into each other at other concerts, at the bar, at restaurants, church, etc. Each time we said "we have got to get together for real and hang out!" Finally in winter of 2020 I had an extra ticket to a broadway show and reached out and asked if she would like to go with me! That was the start of a beautiful friendship! After that we started hanging out all the time! Weekly dinner dates to movie nights to birthdays to vacationing together! This girl is so honest and will tell it like it is. I'm so lucky to have a friend like her. She reaches out and checks in when we haven't gotten together in a while. She cares about my well being and asks those deep personal questions which makes for a great deep friendship. I'm excited to have her next to me during this season of my life. I think back to the day we met and had no idea that she would end up being in my wedding several years later. Funny how God puts the people in your life exactly when they are suppose to be put there. 

Allyson Barnes

Brittany and I met in June 2020. After my dental office was closed because of covid, my boss decided to hire a second hygienist. Thank goodness because it meant I would be getting a built in best friend! This girl is the person that I see every single day for hours on end 4 days a week. We went through her engagement and wedding and now mine. She was there when I first started dating Dylan and she was one of the first friends I called after getting engaged. What's funny is she and I are so alike on a deeper level. On the surface we are very opposite (hair color, fashion sense, sense of humor, music choices, etc).. But on a deeper level we both get each other. We can look at each other and know what the other is thinking. We know when something is even just a tad bit off with each other. She is my sounding board and listens to my rants and vents, but also has my back no matter what. I couldn't plan my wedding at work (during my down time of course) without her. She is the best coworker and friend a girl could ask for. 

Brittany Angeles

Corey is Dylan’s oldest brother, best friend but most importantly his mentor and role model. He has been there through everything during Dylan’s life, the good and the bad. Dylan and Corey’s personality and humor make some people think they are the exact same and has even led to some people asking if they are twins. The military has kept these two apart over the past few year’s but when they get together, lookout because it’s going to be a wild time with lots of laughter. Dylan would not be the man he is today without the mentorship and love Corey has provided through the years. This special day would not be the same if he was not up there standing next to Dylan.

Corey Gaddis

Josh is Jessica's older brother! He and Dylan met when Jess brought Dylan home for thanksgiving in 2020. They have many similarities- such as trying their hardest to pester and annoy Jessica (they are both very good at this!) They both enjoy shooting guns, working out and being bro's. Josh has been a huge support throughout our relationship and it only makes sense for him to stand with Dylan as a groomsman!

Abby has been a great friend to Dylan and I since the beginning. She was always someone Dylan could "bro out" with and talk sports  with, while the rest of us girls came for the social aspect more than for the game! She and Dylan have similar humor and truly formed a friendship like none other! She has a special place in Dylan's life and he wanted to ask her to stand with him and support him the way she has since the beginning! Cheers to the best grooms maid there will ever be! 

Abigail Gartner

Jacob and I met in the summer of 2018 while we were stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. He would always say some smart comment or make it a point to come to my office first thing in morning and say “good morning Sergeant” with a smirky grin on his face to get a rise out of me. Jacob has always had my back since we met and is honestly one of the most genuine guys I know. He has one of those personalities that people are just drawn to and is the true definition of a selfless person. He has been a huge supporter of both my career and personal endeavors and even though our career has taken us apart we never fail to pickup where we left off.

Alex and I met on the Waimano Ridge Trail hike while we were both stationed in Hawaii. We spent the entire hike talking about our jobs, where we were from and talking crap to each other about the Army and Navy. After the hike we exchanged contact information and our friendship took off from there. We spent a lot of time doing hikes around the island, hitting the beaches and finding good places to eat. In 2017 Alex was deployed and I surprised him by coming to his send off and nine months later I was there to welcome him back. The fondest memory I have of us is when I attended his Submariners Ball in my Army Service Uniform, man did I catch hell haha. The military has put a lot of distance between us but we have always found a way to stay in contact. I am honored and blessed to have a friend like him standing up there with me for this big moment.
