We met through mutual friends on Cherry Point Marine Air Base in NC. We would both go to Jacksonville, NC, to see some of our friends. As we started to hang out more and more, we started to become closer. For a few months, we would become best friends, then in late February, we would both start to admit that we had feelings for each other. On March 3rd, 2019, we decided we would start dating. It was difficult; we would end up doing long-distance for 3 years, spending most PTO time going back and forth to each other, before both of us would end up moving home to Michigan to live with our parents. After a while, we grew tired of living at home, as we had been out of the house for about 4 to 5 years. Brendan did not want to rent; he did not believe in paying for something he was never going to own, so we started to house hunt in 2022, and after a few too many bad houses and us starting to look for property up north and out of state, we found a perfect house with several acres in Howell.
