Jessica and Jared met in the winter of 2016 but their story didn’t really begin till later, in the summer of 2017. Jared had moved from Brockport to Rochester and Jessica had just graduated college at RIT. During this summer, they ended up reconnecting and very quickly found themselves hanging out almost every day. Bonding over shared interests like, soccer, Marvel and being overly competitive. They barley went a day apart. For a moment in time their lives had aligned perfectly to allow them to have a wonderful summer together. But it would be short lived, as by the end of summer, Jessica would be moving to Buffalo to start her first job. It was bittersweet when she finally had to move away and assumed that would be the end of their time together. Jared however, had other plans. He expressed he wanted to still see each other despite the distance. Jared came to visit Jessica the weekend she moved in to her apartment in Buffalo and asked her to be his girlfriend.

For three years they dated long distance, making time for each other on the weekends, taking turns visiting. It wasn’t always easy, but it was always worth it. When Covid hit, Jessica was able to switch to remote working full time and moved back to her hometown Rochester.

Fall of 2021 Jessica and Jared moved into their apartment in Cornhill. With them came their dog Dempsy, and their two newly adopted kitties, Jaspurr and Bellatrix (Bean). Officially making Jared a cat person and Jess a dog person. A Vegas trip, Atlantic city trip, family holidays, many hikes, several soccer games, Sabres games, board games, dart matches & puzzles later, Jared FINALLY proposed in October 2023 in an apple orchard.
