Jessica and Connor met at a party in March of 2019 after a few weeks of talking. Jessica, convinced this was a bad set up, stopped all communication with Connor for a year.


Connor, determined to get what he wanted, reached out multiple times over the next year. Finally, in March of 2020 Jessica caved and commented on a picture that Connor posted of his dog Juno. Jessica and Connor spoke every day since. Due to Covid, the two would spend hours each night on the phone, and all day texting as Connor was isolating at his family cabin in Ingolf, Ontario and Jessica was back home in Winnipeg.


In May of 2020, Jessica was able to go to the Hemmetts family cabin. The two started dating and have been inseparable ever since. Covid pushed the relationship to progress quickly, and Jessica and Connor decided to move in together February 2021. Connor and his family welcomed Jessica and her fur baby Mia, into their home with open arms.


During the next two years, the couple travelled to Phoenix and Mexico multiple times. November 30, 2022, the couple welcomed their second fur baby, Luna the crazy French bulldog.


By 2023, Jessica was convinced she had found her forever person and started becoming inpatient. Each day Jessica would hint at a ring or a baby (to be fair - so did other family members).


In September of 2023, the couple took a trip to LA. While in the Universal Studio parking lot, Jessica took a pregnancy test and found out she was pregnant. After sitting on a parking lot bench for 10 minutes, test in one hand and the wrapper in the other, Connor advised it was time to get on with the day as he wanted to waste no more time - Harry Potter world awaited him. After buying baby her first Harry Potter onesie, Connor spent the day riding all rides on his own, while Jessica watched - still unsure how to process the news.


One month later, Jessica and Connor flew to Spain to head on a family cruise. A few people hinted that this was the perfect spot for a proposal. Jessica, still hiding her pregnancy, denied this (as she in fact did ask for a baby OR a ring). On October 23, 2023, while in Portifino, Italy, Connor proposed to Jessica. In complete shock, Jessica did not answer yes, but asked if it was a prank.


Over the next year, Jessica and Connor began planning their wedding and preparing for their baby. The couple moved into their dream home in March 2024.


On May 23, 2024, the couple welcomed their beautiful daughter, Wren Aria Hemmett. The couple adjusted to parenthood all while settling into their new home, travelling, and planning a wedding.
