Our Wedding

Our Story

As friends for over a decade, Jessica &amp; Dave found their spark through passion for travel and mutual&nbsp;friends.&nbsp;As the only single travelers on a couples trip for their friend’s birthday (shout out to Dane for turning 40 and Meg for playing cupid), they ended up traveling to Todos Santos, Mexico together and realized there was more than friendship between them. Since then, Jessica and Dave have been living happily together next to Jessica's sister Kanani &amp; Craig's family in a duplex in Cardiff. In June 2023, Jessica and Dave traveled to Italy. In Ischia, during a champagne sunset on the balcony, Dave proposed and Jessica said yes! Now they couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with all of their family and friends in one of their favorite places.

Fly into Kahului Airport (OGG)Check out Airbnb and VRBO for condo options which may be more affordable than hotels, especially if you are a party larger than 2. The wedding venue is located in Kapalua. Napili-Honokowai is located next to Kapalua. Ka'annapli offers mostly hotel options.

The wedding party/family will be staying here (Bay Villa area), we'd love for you to be close if you can find a place here! (Our favorite place to stay) Privately-owned 1 or 2 bedroom condos - located right next to the wedding venue. There are three areas: Golf Villas, Ridge Villas &amp; Bay Villas. Golf villas are farthest away from the coastline, Bay Villas are closest. Search for the Villa area you'd like to book, i.e. "Kapalua Bay Villas", through VRBO, Airbnb or other vacation rental sites (check google).

Accommodations

Short walk from Kapalua Villas. Calm sandy cove beach that we love to visit for snorkeling and turtle watching. Kayak and SUP rentals available at north end of the beach. Great place to hang and relax.

Kapalua Bay Beach 

Stunning three-mile stretch of sand with crystal clear waters perfect for snorkeling and seeing turtles. Located along Ka'anapali's coastal hotel area which offers many restaurants/bars within the hotels. Free public parking available at the Westin (use address above).

Ka’anapali Beach

D.T. Fleming Beach is a 5-minute walk away from the wedding venue. Wind and waves can tend to be stronger here. Grab a Mai Tai or burger at the Burger Shack Kapalua, located right above the beach.

Spend a half or full day adventuring the road to Hana to see waterfalls, the Seven Sacred Pools, black sand beaches and lush scenery. Be extra careful on these narrow roads (locals drive fast) and be sure to pack insect repellent.

Hop on a catamaran for half of a day and go snorkeling in popular bays or even the neighboring island Molokini. Check out Tripadvisor for recommended tours.
