Our Wedding

It all started in April of 1996. Born just three days apart,&nbsp;only a pitching wedge separated Andrew and Jessica from their childhood homes. Our story really began at the sixth grade talent show, when Andrew, too shy, texted Jessica, while sitting directly next to her. Fast forward to high school, they became best friends during their time together in study hall. After countless coffee runs, lunch dates, and shopping adventures in Andrew's Volvo, they began dating heading into their senior year. They navigated through high school and their time at separate colleges a thousand miles apart. After several visits to Alabama and back home to New Jersey, Andrew moved home after his college graduation. Whether he missed the bagels and subs or Jessica more, we'll never know. Post graduation brought a global pandemic, law school, and new careers. Lots of traveling and lots of nail-biting Alabama football games, Atlanta Braves games, and even a 2021 National Champion run and Braves World Series title. And a few years later, or ten, depending on who you ask, on September 10, 2023, Andrew got down on one knee in Spring Lake, New Jersey. And as exciting as the first part of this story has been, we are so excited to see what this next chapter holds for us, finally married!

Getting There

Guests arriving by plane are able to fly into 3 airports in the area. Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Stewart Liberty Airport (SWF) are a 1 hour drive to the Crystal Springs Resort. LaGaurdia Airport (LGA) is a 1 1/2 hour drive from Crystal Springs.

Accommodations

Grand Cascades Lodge is perched along the Appalachian Mountain Range and set among three world-class golf courses. The property is home to Reflections Spa and several restaurants. Guests can enjoy the indoor/ outdoor pool, or take tours of the wine cellar. Grand Cascades Lodge is attached to the Crystal Springs Country Club, where all wedding activities will take place. Please note that a block of rooms have been reserved for our guests at a discounted rate. Standard rooms are available at a rate of $269 per night, and premium 1-bedroom suites are available for $369 per night. Due to limited availability, guests are encouraged to reserve rooms as soon as possible by calling (866) 921-0422, prompt #2, and mentioning the Buchmann-Filliater wedding.

Grand Cascades Lodge

Minerals Hotel offers mountain views and access to a 9-hole, family-friendly golf course. The property is home to a spa and several dining options. Guests can enjoy an indoor/ outdoor pool and access to the sports club. A shuttle service will be provided from the Minerals Hotel to wedding events on Saturday. Minerals is approximately a 10 minute drive from all events. Please note that a block of rooms have been reserved for our guests at a discounted rate. Standard rooms are available at a rate of $189 per night, and junior suites are available for $229 per night. Due to limited availability, guests are encouraged to reserve rooms&nbsp;as soon as possible&nbsp;by calling (866) 921-0422, prompt #2, and mentioning the Buchmann-Filliater wedding.

MINERALS HOTEL

A Quality Inn is located nearby, in the town of Vernon for guests who would like to stay off-site. The Quality Inn is approximately a ten minute drive from all wedding activities. Please note that guests who elect to stay off of the Crystal Springs property will not be able to utilize the resort's amenities.

Golf, Guests interested in golfing during their stay can book tee times by visiting Crystal Springs website, linked <a href="https://www.crystalgolfresort.com/golf/reservations/daily-fee-tee-times" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>. Guests interested in golfing as part of a group on Friday, June 7th between 10:00 - 11:00 AM can reach out to Andrew at 201-785-6777. Spa, guests can enjoy a variety of massages, facials, skin treatments, pedicures, and manicures. Fitness classes, schedule coming soon. Pools, guest staying at Grand Cascades will have access to the Biosphere and Vista Pools. Minerals guests can utilize the Minerals pool complex. Arcade &amp; Game Center, located at Minerals Hotel. Nature Trail, 3 mile nature walk located at Grand Cascades Lodge. 18-hole putting course, located at Grand Cascades Lodge opens at 10:00AM. The Backyard, located at Minerals Hotel, offers pickleball, archery.

Goat Yoga, Saturday at 9:30AM at Minerals Hotel. Call 844-330-1710 for reservations. Petting Zoo, Saturday from 12:00 - 4:00 PM at Grand Cascades Lodge, you can meet farmer Keith’s friendly animals! Learn fun facts about baby goats, ducks, chickens, bunnies, sheep, miniature horses, alpacas. Bungee Floating, Saturday at 10:30 AM at the Fit Works Studio at Minerals Resort. Bungee Floating s a motion based resistance training class. Pony Rides, Sunday from 10:00 AM - 12:00PM at Grand Cascades Lodge. Nearby Activities

For guests looking for adventure beyond Crystal Springs Resort, here are some recommendations. Appalachian Trail, if interested in a hike, you can hike New Jersey's portion of the Appalachian Trail. Enter through High Point State Park. While hiking, be sure to make a stop at Bellvale Creamery. Warwick, NY offers a variety of local shopping venues, antique stores, and restaurants, approximately 20 minutes away. Be sure to stop by Bellvale Creamery on you way out of town!
