Not everyone thinks fate is a real thing, but when you hear about a story like this one it's hard not to believe in it. Jess moved to Winthrop in May of 2021, never expecting only 7 months later to meet the man she would one day marry in the town she bought her first home. A 2 min drive away, that's how close Dylan's house was to hers. Only a few months before this Jess's grandfather shared with her that he had a dream one night that she would meet the love of her life in this town, and that's exactly what happened. But the story gets crazier... shortly after they began dating Dylan and Jess realized that before Winthrop they both lived in Medford, only a 2 min drive away from each other there too. They even took the same train to get to work at Wellington Station into Boston! It's like they were following one another just waiting to finally meet one day. The day they knew this was the real thing was on Jess's 30th birthday weekend pictured above. There was a house full of people and a pipe burst in the basement and it was raining from the ceiling... Jess was a wreck and Dylan knew he couldn't let her go through that alone and that he'd do anything for her. He was on his hands and knees shop vacuuming the basement for hours. Jess was floored by the way Dylan jumped into action and supported her the way he did. After that things blossomed into the strongest relationship neither of them ever expected. Fast forward 3 years later and it's still blossoming every day. Their engagement was a fairytale. Dylan took Jess on a surprise trip to North Carolina, where he had a picnic set up in the mountains of Asheville and a photographer capturing the most magical moments. It was like a dream in the clouds and that's exactly what the background behind them displayed. They came home from their trip and Dylan worked with family and friends to surprise Jess once again with a pop up engagement party that was the most unbelievable cherry on top of the already most amazing week. Best friends, travel buddies, dancing partners, and goofballs are just a few ways the pair describe themselves. They cannot wait to share their most special day and the greatest chapter of their lives with the most important people to them in the world.

Julia and Jess have been best of friends since college where they both went to SNHU and have been making memories ever since. Julia is the most creative human on planet earth and should open an Etsy account asap. Professional graphic designer, expert baker, casino queen, corn hole board maker (and pro corn hole player), she's quite the impressive gal and the most caring and sweet friend. Jess and Julia's yearly Disney trip will forever be a favorite tradition. Julia is the type of friend who you can always rely on to be there for you and pull through whenever you need her!

Ariana and Jess's friendship blossomed when they both sat down at Shorty's Mexican Roadhouse in 2017 and a light bulb went off to move from NH to Boston and be roommates. Living together for over 5 years between Somerville, Medford and Winthrop MA, they have been through it all together! It is no surprise when someone finds out Ariana is a nurse, with her caring nature and superior listening skills. Those who know Ariana and Jess can attest to their ability to speak for 15 hours straight, and they wouldn't have it any other way. It's a sisterly bond that lasts a lifetime!

It was at 14 years old in the halls of Mckelvie School that Ashley and Jess decided that "My Other Half" was the only logical phone contact name for one another. They were attached at the hip from day one when they decided not to let a boy get in between their friendship. From the plethora of hours bonding at cheerleading practices, to dancing in Jess's Mom's basement to "Run It" by Chris Brown with the strobe lights blasting, there's no surprise that they are still friends almost 20 years later. Not only is Ashley a brilliant Harvard graduate who teaches Jess new words on the regular, but her humor and laugh is infectious and she will forever be the friend who can do a backflip while also writing a scholar level publication

Irene is one of those lifelong best friends who will always be the Mom of the group in the best way. Even when her and Jess are both elderly gal pals they'll be sipping coffee and reminiscing about college days where Irene took care of Jess after a wild Saturday night at SNHU (Irene can tell you about the elevator story another time..). All jokes aside Irene is the best Mother ever to her two adorable boys, and she's just as great of a friend to Jess and has been an incredible help from day one during this wedding process. They joke that Jess is entering her "Irene Era" of settling down into married life and an eventual family of her own, but its actually really true and Jess is gladly taking all of Irene's wisdom & advice :)

Brittany is the sister Jess never had and the best future sister in law she could have asked for. They hit it off right away and even though they have only known each other a few years it feels like forever. When they first met at Dylan's parents' house Jess was introduced as Dylan's new girlfriend, but it quickly became just a regular friendship and a great one. From their shared love of Espresso Martinis to their bond over Homegoods being their happy place, Jess and Brittany's interests & taste are truly the same.

Jess and Jen first became close during college days and have been causing a ruckus ever since ;) Their abundance of inside jokes and memories at Manchester NH's "finest spots" like Murphy's, Manchvegas and the Red Barn (RIP) will forever be a topic of conversation. Jen is the no b.s. friend who tells it to you straight and always gives her honest opinion, so it felt really great when after she first met Dylan she said to Jess "he is the male version of you". Jen is that through thick and thin type friend and Jess wouldn't want it any other way!

There isn’t anyone who knows Dylan better than his own younger bro! Growing up under Wayne and Michelle’s roof they both found ways to get around their parent’s rules. Camping, playing sports, and having pool parties with friends was all the rage. Even though as kids Ben and Dylan had their small fights here and there like getting Chinese food all over the TV Room, they’ve always supported each other through thick and thin while always cracking a joke. Having each other’s backs, there isn’t anything they wouldn’t do for one another and now they find themselves as grooms and best men stepping into a new phase of life together!

Sam is Dylan’s OG friend way back to basketball camp days in 7th grade where they played defense against each other and never spoke a word probably thinking they wouldn’t see each other again… Until one day Dylan’s parents bought a cabin on College Pond in Plymouth not knowing that same kid from basketball camp would be there playing with his RC car outside of Dylan’s doorstep. Ever since those days at College Pond, they created a bond that would eventually transcend to hanging out in their home towns of Whitman and Hanson, playing air-soft and geeking out with video games and movies. Even though they didn’t go to the same high school, Dylan still remained close with Sam and eventually they would end up attending the same school at Mass Maritime and with fate Sam and Dylan’s dorm rooms were next to each other! When these 2 get in a room together they can talk for hours on end. A type of friendship that lasts for life!

From Captain of his high school football team to an entrepreneur always on the grind, Rey has always been the king of swag in the friend group. Not to mention an amazing father to his daughter and an overall standup guy. Dylan knew from when he first met Rey at Mass Maritime that he’d not only be a lifelong friend, but was the life of the party. A “connection was made” as laughs and pranks were exchanged. Dylan was ready to help with Rey’s homework while Rey was ready to help Dylan get out of his comfort zone and navigate the social scene. That developed swagger helped Dylan find the love of his life! To this day Dylan and Rey continue to be there for each other through thick and thin and tough love!

A nice guy all around, Johnny has always been easy to get along with everyone. Dylan and Johnny got close through Sam out at sea during their time at Mass Maritime as Dylan would visit Johnny and Sam in their hold in the ship! Eventually Dylan and Johnny became roommates after not getting each other the first time, and each semester moving in Johnny had the running joke that he and Dylan weren’t roommates and that they made a mistake again. Let’s just say Johnny witnessed everything living with Dylan, with a lot of firsts as if it was like Johnny was witnessing Dylan grow up (lol). Johnny and Dylan would grow closer to each other’s families as Dylan’s Mom became Johnny’s 2nd Mom buying things for the dorm room for Johnny while Dylan would take part in Cambodian culture and become an “honorary Cambodian”. Since Johnny became a father to Noah, Noah has grown a closeness to his Pou Dylan which means Uncle Dylan in Khmer! There isn’t anything that Dylan and Johnny wouldn’t do for each other or their families!

If Dylan and Jess needed a last minute additional videographer that could provide play by play commentary then they could count on Durant Cinema! Rewinding the tape back in time, Even though Dave and Dylan are cousins, they have always been more like brothers. The age difference didn’t matter because they always had the same interests! Going to the movies, playing video games, and talks about sports, life and the usual guy talk was just some of the things that made Dylan’s friendship with his cousin great. Friday night cosmic bowling became so competitive that Dave would bring his own bowling shoes and bowling balls just to get a competitive advantage over Dylan only for Dave and Dylan to break out in ridiculous dances to 80’s music! Their antics still continue regularly to this day!

Dylan and Kyle go way back as cousins but they didn’t become close until Middle School where they decided they wanted to come over each other’s houses and watch movies, drink soda & eat junk food, and play video games while their parents chauffeured them around. What a time to be alive! Dylan’s love for Adam Sandler movies comes from Kyle introducing Dylan to a few of Adam’s greatest movies including Happy Gilmore! When Dylan got his license he would come over and walk in the house like it was his 2nd home to see who was around and if Kyle wasn’t there Dylan would just walk into Stop & Shop just to pretend to be a customer when he really wanted to mess with Kyle when he was on the job! Kyle and Dylan can just talk about anything in their lighthearted friendship!

Although Alan is the best JP one could ask for he's also a dear friend and all around standup guy (and best hubby to bridesmaid Ashley Marcoux Raff). Jess and Dylan felt there wasn't a more clear choice for JP than Alan, who truly knows how to capture a room with his distinctive humor and sincere temperament. They are thrilled Alan accepted the role as Justice of the Peace and that he's part of this monumental milestone for them

Boston Seaport
