Our Wedding

Jess and Chris met in 2019 at Brown Barn Farms on a night out with mutual friends. However, their love story didnt begin until around April of 2020 when Jess headed back home to Mt. Hope from Brooklyn after the covid shutdown began. HouseParty was all the rage and Jess and Chris in were constantly video chatting. Mid-April, at the height of confusion, mass hysteria, and mask debates, Chris decided to hang up the video call and invited Jess to come over, sit in his driveway -- socially distanced, for a few drinks. Breaking all the rules of the covid mandates and of the Cody household, Jess went. She hung out with Chris and never looked back. From that day on, Jess and Chris would meet up for walks with their dogs Mia and Scout, grab drinks after work, and challenge each other to close their Apple rings. It wasnt until June that Jess and Chris became pretty serious... though still not official. One summer night, after laying out, star gazing for hours and listening to Dave Matthews, Jess knew Chris was a keeper. A month went by and Jess and Chris hung out every single day; without fail-- meeting each others friends and family, sharing music, discussing life goals, and making each other laugh through it all. On July 10th, Chris asked Jess to be his girlfriend after accidentally hitting her in the head with an empty beer can. In spite of that, she obviously said yes and the rest is history. Five years later, in a beautiful home filled with many teapots and tons of Star Wars memorabilia; the two love birds are building a life together they’ve been dreaming of their whole lives with their crazy puppy, Ranger. They’re ecstatic to celebrate a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness surrounded by their wonderful family and friends.
