Reid and Jessica met in Stafford County when they were 15 years old. Their relationship began to blossom in January 2011 when in their tenth grade P.E. class. They began hanging out during class - everyone knew Reid was so in love with Jessica, but Jessica played hard to get. But, it was Jessica who had to make the first move and ask for Reid’s phone number. Reid spent countless nights talking to Jessica until the both fell asleep - he would even use all of his monthly minutes to talk to Jessica!

After months of talking, the two finally decided to make it official at midnight on July 16, 2011 and the rest is history.

The first two years of their relationship was your typical "high school sweetheart" mushy-gushy love story. However, their third year proved to be a bit more difficult (or so they thought). Reid ventured off to Orlando, Florida for his first year at the University of Central Florida while Jessica stayed close to home and went to Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Long weekends and holidays brought excitement when they got to see each other, but ended with many tears (...boy are we glad those days are over!). Jessica traveled to Orlando as much as possible (she does NOT miss sitting in airports or doing the 13 hour car ride after classes), and Reid came home frequently, but never enough. There were many days when Reid and Jessica didn’t think it would work, but loved each other too much to call it quits. The following years were some of the most influential years of their relationship. The two spent four years Skyping each other, encouraging one another, and continuing to support and love one another. In May 2017, Jessica graduated with her Bachelors in Chemistry. She accepted a job as a teacher in Orlando. She packed up her life and moved 800 miles away within one month of graduating college. Four very, very difficult years of long distance were FINALLY over. In May 2018, Reid graduated with his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering has accepted a job in Orlando.

On June 5, 2018, Reid took Jessica to a lake in Maitland, Florida. Eventually, he got down on one knee and popped the question! Jessica said yes! The two moved in together shortly after and celebrated 7 years together.
