Do you guys remember what you were doing the summer of 2020? Some were probably in quarantine at home or others would start being a little more sociable as the restaurants and public places started to slowly open up as the height of Covid 19 started diminishing. This is where we begin OUR love story.  Lets take you all back to June 2020. I being an Illinois native have moved back from a cross country experience in California, while Ashley was fresh out of work and enjoying her Summer break.   When i got home that Summer, i didn't know my life would change so suddenly. One night i was at my brothers and My close friend told me to just make an account for funzies. (Shout out to sly)  and with it being lovely covid time dating apps were at a social high. Alot of social media things were at a all time high at this time. So i made an account and picked out a few pictures that i felt like suited me and see how it goes. I wasn't trying to date. I wasn't looking for a love interest of any kind. I made it for the reason my friend said i should, for a confidence boost. After 2 days of talking to strangers online, with conversations going absolutely nowhere, a notification went off on my phone. Ashley messaged you Curious me opened said message and it all began with one word . Hey... my response???? Hey hi hello!!!  From there it was an evening of messaging up until Ashley gave me her number to call her. I HATE talking on the phone. Imma texter lol. But on that night i gave her a call. That evening she was laying onna hammock and i was laying on my brothers couch. Her voice was majestic. So calming and relaxing and i told her she sounded like drew Barrymore. We talked about ourselves and just random things and it was like i known her for more than just a day.  From then, ashley would pursue me in making plans to hang out, but i was nervous and never actually had  a first date. I didnt even know what to wear because i had nothing nice since i left most of my belongings in california. She insisted on taking me out to a habaci grill in illinois for lunch since thats what we spoken about in a previous conversation. So she drove out to get me with the little time she had that day and i see the text on my phone. Im here my heart raced so bad , but me trying to be cool and calm i went downstairs to her orange car and i wore my super mario periodic table tee shirt because i thought shed appreciate such greatness. On the way there as i directed her, i was nonstop talking and she was quiet. ( we are polar opposites when nervous) we got out the car and i was shocked that she was part tree lol So tall! But i loved it! We went into this place all awkward playing pokemon go making small talk. Just a little fun fact for you all: Dont ever go on a first date to a habaci grill lol. The only cool part of it was when i tried to impress her catching flying broccoli .  After spending an hour or so with her she had to go back home. As we drove home we were more comfortable with eachother and making small talk. We were close to my homestead and Snow Patrol came on. Chasing cars. She reached over and grabbed my hand. It was electric. It was so sweet and innocent and kind and it just made my day. We said our goodbyes and as soon as i got back upstairs i got another text i really wanted to kiss you Trust me the feeling is mutual. Now dont worry.....we had another first date to make up for this little lunch. But that story can be told another day :) we started dating on july 15th 2020 and from there on we are standing stronger than ever. Each day is better than the next and continuing on this wild adventure is amazing. Meeting and sharing our story with you all is a wonderful thing and we are grateful for each of you joining us on this adventure.

One of Ashley's very best friends! Met at church in 2011 while being forced to teach Sunday school together.  She's already ready for good catch up call!

Ashley's coworker, turned best friend! Started teaching together in 2014 at Michigan City High School.  Science nerd extraordinaire!

One of Ashley's very best friends! Met at church in 2015 and have been close friends since.  Ana is a world traveler and always up for an adventure!

Mike is Jess's older brother that she got into trouble with growing up. Whether it was backyard wrestling in every residence they lived in, or just driving their mother crazy with their daily screaming matches. This is Jessicas younger brother, Sister in law and niece. Tony was the annoying little brother that would cry and complain if jess wouldnt watch him play video games. He also was known to choke on bacon and jessica would end up saving his life. Marta is jessicas favorite romanian lol who basically is a modern day martha stuart. And this little lady is Jessicas niece who loves her farm animals at her grandparents house and is a daddies girl lol
