Back in 2012, London hosted the Olympic Games, the Queen celebrated her Diamond Jubilee, and Jess and Sam met and became a couple!The couple have since moved to Norwich and now own their cosy little home in a quiet town on the outskirts of the city. Jess and Sam have always known they were destined to tie the knot, but nobody expected them to wait this long.A few months before Sam proposed, Jess was (once again) expressing her concern that they would never get engaged, totally unaware of Sam’s plan. Sam took this as an opportunity to find out exactly what she liked and even managed to get the perfect size ring without raising suspicion!On June 5th 2024, the evening before her 30th Birthday, Sam got down on one knee in front of a big bay window overlooking the sea at sunset, and proposed to Jess with a beautiful opal ring, just like she had always dreamed.They now wish to celebrate their commitment to happily ever after with their nearest and dearest, and sincerely hope you can all attend.

ArrivalPlease aim to arrive at the venue for 12pm, upon arrival, enter though the hotel entrance on the left of the building, then have a drink and a catch up before being seated at 12.30pm for the ceremony. CeremonyWe will be having an ‘unplugged ceremony’ meaning no phones out during the ceremony.(We’ve shelled out for a professional photographer to capture our day and we promise there’ll be LOADS of photo opportunities afterwards!)

The Details

“A little hidden city oasis where you come to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.” The Georgian townhouse is a beautiful white painted hotel and restaurant a 5-10 minute walk from Norwich city centre. Parking:The venue itself does have limited parking onsite, however this fills up very quickly, particularly on weekends. There are plenty of public car parks in the surrounding area, below is an example of a nearby car park a short walk away. (a quick google will show you loads more)

Kind, funny and thoughtful, you can expect to see her walking down the aisle holding the brides hand to give her away.
(Quite possibly one of the best mothers to have ever existed)

Sarah Daniels

The brides sister and best friend, although from different fathers, she has the same humour and personality as the bride and often ‘third wheels’ with the couple. (Guaranteed to cry)

Amber Lovegrove

Always there to keep the boys in line and always ready to talk wedding tactics! She has probably listened to Jess complain once too often during the wedding planning process! (The sensible one and top class mother)

Anne Bell

Full of knowledge and super sociable, if you’re after a natter buy him a pint and pull up a chair!
A bit of a joker and always up for an adventure.  


Nick Bell

The grooms brother, clever clogs and all round good lad. Joe will be by Sam’s side supporting him on the day. Top tier brother/future brother-in-law (expect a blinding speech!)

If you plan to make a weekend out of it, Norwich has lots to offer!•Visit Norwich Cathedral•Shop in the lanes•Pit stop in one of the many amazing pubs•Spend some time at the castle and it’s museum•Stroll along the river (or even do ‘pub and paddle’)And lots more! For those travelling on the morning of our wedding, please leave plenty of time to make your journey, park and arrive in time for the celebrations to begin.

Firstly, having our most important people there celebrating our marriage with us is the most valuable gift we could ask for! Gift Registry 

When should I RSVP?In short, as soon as possible! But please RSVP and do your menu selection by mid May. Do I get a plus one?Unfortunately we cannot accommodate plus ones due to venue capacity and safety regulations. Can we take photos/videos?Absolutely! The only time we will ask for no phones to be out is during our ceremony, but beyond that we’d love you to take pictures and videos! (And please, share them with us!) Is there a dress code?All we ask is that you dress for a formal occasion, but keep the August weather in mind and check the forecast. (And ladies, don’t wear white/cream/ivory… obviously.) Is the venue accessible?All celebrations will take place on the ground floor, however there are a couple of steps into and out of the building and the bar/gardens. Who should we ask if we have more questions? Pop either of us a message if you need any more information, we’ll be happy to clear things up.
