In the hot summer of June 2022, amidst the hustle and bustle of city life, Jessica and Alex's paths serendipitously crossed through the magical realm of a dating app. It was a digital rendezvous that ignited a flame. Their first encounter was a pit stop for a beer on the way to a concert, where they talked for hours. As the initial excitement settled into a tranquil rhythm, there was a slight lull in their exchanges. But Alex wasn't one to let a potential love story fade. He smoothly invited her for a second date coinciding with her birthday in July 2022. What followed was a laughter and joy as they embarked on a journey filled with whimsical adventures. From spirited rounds of mini-golf where they playfully competed for victory, to exploring trivia nights, singing at concerts, decrypting museum art, and savoring wine, their bond only grew stronger. But it wasn't just the thrill of adventure that drew them together. What truly cemented their love was the profound connection they shared, built on a foundation of kindness, compassion, and unwavering support. Their love is not just a fleeting moment, but a testament to the enduring power of love in its purest form. They both fell in love with the kindness, compassion, consideration, encouragement, and sweetness they give to one another. Their love is kind and understanding, loving and encouraging, open and honest, loyal and unbreakable. They know that their love is not just fun and romantic—it is unbreakable, destined to withstand the test of time.

&nbsp;I have the very special honor of sharing this journey with my three wonderful bridesmaids: Emily Chen, Amy Chung, and my sister, Sonia De Luna. Emily and Amy are my co-bridesmaids of honor, and together with Sonia, they are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. They have seen me at my best and my very, very worst, standing by me through thick and thin. They have witnessed the blossoming of my relationship with Alex and have been my rock through it all. These are my people, my cherished friends, and family. I couldn’t imagine this moment without them by my side.

How do I get from the airport to the city center?

Take a city sanctioned taxi! Oaxaca Airport is small and easy to navigate. After your arrival, you can catch a city-sanctioned taxi to your hotel, Airbnb, or any destination. The taxi stand is located at the end of the rental corridor, marked with large letters that say "TAXI." All taxis to the city center have a flat rate of $250 pesos, and both cash and card are accepted.

is Oaxaca safe? 

Yes! Oaxaca is an incredibly beautiful state and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is rich with artisanal crafts, amazing food, and wonderful people. Known for its vibrant cultural festivals such as the Guelaguetza, Oaxaca also boasts stunning landscapes, including the Hierve el Agua rock formations and the Sierra Norte mountains. In 2024, it was also named one of Mexico's safest cities.

Do I need to rent a car to get around? 

No, Oaxaca's city center is small and walkable. You can reach all major tourist sites simply by walking. Most of the city center is flat, with some inclines. If you choose to take a tour to different pueblos, archaeological sites, or geological sites, most, if not all, will offer transportation.
