Our Wedding

Brendan&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;met&nbsp;at&nbsp;Cannon&nbsp;Air&nbsp;Force&nbsp;Base&nbsp;in&nbsp;New&nbsp;Mexico&nbsp;in&nbsp;2021&nbsp;when&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;was&nbsp;Jessica’s&nbsp;sponsor&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;base.&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;helped&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;acclimate&nbsp;to&nbsp;Clovis&nbsp;and&nbsp;to&nbsp;her&nbsp;new&nbsp;job&nbsp;as&nbsp;part&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;56th&nbsp;Special&nbsp;Operations&nbsp;Intelligence&nbsp;Squadron.&nbsp;There,&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;was&nbsp;also&nbsp;Jessica’s&nbsp;instructor&nbsp;during&nbsp;her&nbsp;mission&nbsp;qualification&nbsp;course&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;he&nbsp;was&nbsp;Jessica’s&nbsp;trainer&nbsp;when&nbsp;she&nbsp;took&nbsp;over&nbsp;his&nbsp;team&nbsp;or&nbsp;airmen&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;Remotely&nbsp;Piloted&nbsp;Aircraft&nbsp;Operations&nbsp;Center.&nbsp;Throughout&nbsp;these&nbsp;many&nbsp;months&nbsp;they&nbsp;became&nbsp;good&nbsp;friends&nbsp;and&nbsp;so&nbsp;did&nbsp;their&nbsp;cats&nbsp;Bonnie&nbsp;and&nbsp;Oliver.&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;then&nbsp;was&nbsp;deployed&nbsp;for&nbsp;sometime&nbsp;until&nbsp;his&nbsp;return&nbsp;in&nbsp;2022&nbsp;when&nbsp;he&nbsp;asked&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;out&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;nice&nbsp;date&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;brewery&nbsp;where&nbsp;they&nbsp;first&nbsp;had&nbsp;dinner.&nbsp;Their&nbsp;first&nbsp;date&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;romantic&nbsp;night&nbsp;that&nbsp;started&nbsp;out&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;restaurant&nbsp;he&nbsp;originally&nbsp;planned&nbsp;to&nbsp;go&nbsp;was&nbsp;closed,&nbsp;and&nbsp;instead&nbsp;they&nbsp;went&nbsp;to&nbsp;enjoy&nbsp;some&nbsp;delicious&nbsp;Mexican&nbsp;cuisine.&nbsp;As&nbsp;the&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;grew&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;and&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;took&nbsp;many&nbsp;trips&nbsp;around&nbsp;West&nbsp;Texas,&nbsp;Virginia,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Ohio,&nbsp;experiencing&nbsp;new&nbsp;things&nbsp;together.&nbsp;Among&nbsp;the&nbsp;trips&nbsp;were&nbsp;many&nbsp;days&nbsp;where&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;and&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;shared&nbsp;their&nbsp;love&nbsp;of&nbsp;video&nbsp;games&nbsp;by&nbsp;playing&nbsp;Borderlands,&nbsp;Halo,&nbsp;It&nbsp;Takes&nbsp;Two&nbsp;and&nbsp;others&nbsp;that&nbsp;revealed&nbsp;Brendan’s&nbsp;extreme&nbsp;competitiveness&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jessica’s&nbsp;extreme&nbsp;lack&nbsp;of&nbsp;patience.&nbsp;Their&nbsp;favorites&nbsp;dates&nbsp;were&nbsp;always&nbsp;escape&nbsp;rooms,&nbsp;in&nbsp;which&nbsp;they&nbsp;solved&nbsp;complex&nbsp;puzzles&nbsp;where&nbsp;ultimately,&nbsp;they&nbsp;showed&nbsp;how&nbsp;well&nbsp;their&nbsp;brains&nbsp;worked&nbsp;together.&nbsp; All&nbsp;these&nbsp;experiences&nbsp;led&nbsp;to&nbsp;their&nbsp;love&nbsp;growing&nbsp;(Jessica&nbsp;said&nbsp;it&nbsp;first),&nbsp;until&nbsp;one&nbsp;day&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;devised&nbsp;a&nbsp;cunning&nbsp;plan.&nbsp;One&nbsp;weekend&nbsp;to&nbsp;Lubbock&nbsp;Texas,&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;took&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;Overton&nbsp;Hotel,&nbsp;basically&nbsp;the&nbsp;only&nbsp;four&nbsp;star&nbsp;hotel&nbsp;nearby,&nbsp;and&nbsp;treated&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;rage&nbsp;room&nbsp;to&nbsp;smash&nbsp;things&nbsp;with&nbsp;sledgehammers.&nbsp;They&nbsp;also&nbsp;went&nbsp;through&nbsp;another&nbsp;escape&nbsp;room&nbsp;together&nbsp;and&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;beat&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;in&nbsp;mini-golf.&nbsp;At&nbsp;the&nbsp;end&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;weekend,&nbsp;they&nbsp;went&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;romantic&nbsp;night&nbsp;out&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;wine&nbsp;bar&nbsp;called&nbsp;the&nbsp;Funky&nbsp;Door.&nbsp;The&nbsp;next&nbsp;morning&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jess&nbsp;took&nbsp;a&nbsp;walk&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;park&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;waterfall&nbsp;where&nbsp;then&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;top&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;proposed&nbsp;to&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;on&nbsp;January&nbsp;22nd&nbsp;2023.&nbsp; A&nbsp;few&nbsp;months&nbsp;later&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;and&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;traveled&nbsp;to&nbsp;Virginia&nbsp;where&nbsp;their&nbsp;miraculous&nbsp;plan&nbsp;went&nbsp;off&nbsp;without&nbsp;a&nbsp;hitch.&nbsp;On&nbsp;April&nbsp;3rd&nbsp;2023&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;and&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;got&nbsp;married&nbsp;in&nbsp;King&nbsp;Lincoln&nbsp;Park&nbsp;with&nbsp;their&nbsp;families&nbsp;around&nbsp;them.&nbsp;The&nbsp;honeymoon&nbsp;was&nbsp;then&nbsp;filled&nbsp;with&nbsp;house&nbsp;hunting&nbsp;for&nbsp;Brendan&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jessica&nbsp;for&nbsp;when&nbsp;they&nbsp;are&nbsp;both&nbsp;stationed&nbsp;at&nbsp;Langley&nbsp;Air&nbsp;Force&nbsp;Base,&nbsp;where&nbsp;their&nbsp;journey,&nbsp;teamwork,&nbsp;and&nbsp;love&nbsp;will&nbsp;grow&nbsp;even&nbsp;more&nbsp;and&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;their&nbsp;lives.
