How We Met:

Derek and I moved to Breckenridge, CO around the same year. I moved from Pittsburgh, PA and Derek from Atlanta, GA. Several years passed before we met one another. However, Derek claims he said "one day I'm gonna date that girl".

I got a job at a local watering hole, Ollies, where Derek and his buddies used to frequent. Our friends called it the "Cheers" of Breckenridge and I quickly became familiar with the name Derek Fox. As we started to get to know one another, Derek asked me out on our first date. We went to Traverse in Breckenridge. It was our 1^st of many dates and the rest is history.

Derek, my twin sister Paula, her fiancé David and I decided to visit one of my best friends, Amber, in Lake Tahoe, CA for our birthday. Tahoe's weather was amazing that weekend! They called for 4 ft. of snow that week! Our 1^st day on the mountain was my birthday. The snow was perfect and the view was incredible! By the 3^rd run our group became separated. Not familiar with the area, I followed Derek down the mountain. When we got near the trees, Derek stopped. I thought he had stopped to clean off his boots, but then I realized he was trying to get down on one knee (he sunk, there was 16" of snow). I cried and screamed yes after he asked me those magical words "Will you marry me?".
