In September of 2013, Jess was very nervous to interview for a new job at FLO Thinkery. She anxiously sat in the lobby, waiting for her name to be called, but before that could happen Kevin came bounding down the stairs. "I just found out I'm colorblind," he announced to a friend nearby. Jess laughed, Kevin introduced himself, the nerves went away, and the interview went well. A week or so later she had learned she got the job.

Working in the same space, but for separate companies, led to the two of them becoming friends. One night Kevin told Jess she was pretty, she blushed, and a crush was born. In January of 2014, Kevin got the guts to ask Jess on a date. In April they made it official to the world (aka the people at work), and by May they were in love.

In July of 2015, Kevin told Jess they were going to a nice dinner because they love Nashville restaurants. But before they planned to leave Kevin opened his fanciest bottle of beer, led Jess out to the front porch for a toast, and got down on one knee. In July of 2016, they will be married.
