Q + A

Why is the reception only 3 hours in the middle of the afternoon?

We've opted for a private ceremony followed by a non-traditional reception. Feel free to drop by anytime between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Our first dance is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., followed by family dances.

What can I expect at the reception?

We'll have food and dessert available for a serve-yourself meal, along with a cash bar for drinks. Additionally, there will be a photo booth and some games for entertainment. Guests are welcome to eat, drink, and socialize throughout the event.

If the reception is casual, what is the dress attire?

Guests are encouraged to dress semi-formally, which includes options like dress pants, nice shirts, dresses, or neat jeans.

Am I / Why was I not invited to the ceremony?

We've opted for a small, intimate ceremony to keep the moment special and meaningful for us. While only a select few were invited to the ceremony, please know that your presence at the reception means a lot to us. You should have received a separate invitation for the reception, and we genuinely hope you can join us to celebrate together.

Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?

We've decided to have an "unplugged" ceremony, meaning we kindly ask guests to refrain from using phones or cameras. A professional photographer will be present to capture the special moments.

Can I bring a date/plus one?

If you're considering bringing a date or plus one, we kindly ask that you check with either the bride or groom beforehand to ensure we can accommodate additional guests. Due to space limitations, invitations were extended only to those listed. If you have any questions or need clarification, please feel free to reach out to Ryan or Jessica.

Will there be alcohol?

Yes, there will be a cash bar available at the reception.

What if I don't RSVP by the deadline?

If we don't receive your RSVP by the deadline, we'll assume you won't be able to attend. Timely responses are appreciated to ensure an accurate guest count for our vendors.

Did I miss the save the date?

No need to worry, there weren't any save the dates sent out. We opted to go straight to invitations. Our chosen date, 4.20.24, is a palindrome, but we decided to forego save the dates due to its proximity.

Are there any colors we should avoid wearing?

Just one tiny ask: steer clear of whites, ivories, and creams—they're our bride colors!
