We met at Boone Hospital in 2021. Jessica had only been working as a nurse in the Emergency Room for about a year and just started working in the Intensive Care Unit. Nick had been working at Boone for about six years. He was previously a pharmacy technician and in 2020 began working as a pharmacist. We met at the pyxis (medication station) at Boone Hospital. Jessica was getting medication for her patient and ran into Nick who was restocking the pyxis. Pharmacist typically don't refill the pyxis. The technicians usually take on this responsibility, however, the technician that night happened to call in and Nick had to take on those duties. Thank goodness, right? A few weeks went by after meeting each other and Jessica told one of her pharmacy friends that she met a pharmacist and she thought he was VERY cute. Jessica could not remember his name so she tried describing him and was then told he was married. Thankfully, she was thinking of someone else. Word got around in the pharmacy that a nurse thought Nick was cute. After some social media stalking, we had further added each other on facebook and exchanged each others numbers. Nick had reached out to Jessica multiple times and as Nick would say, Jessica would ghost him. Nick reached out for the last and final time and Jessica finally took him up on his offer. On Feb 19, 2022 Jessica and Nick finally went to Texas RoadHouse for their first date and the rest is history!
