Dave & I live right outside of New Orleans & I work in the downtown area. Although Dave doesn't like to venture into the city often, we do have some places we love to visit.
The Tchoup Yard
This is an outdoor bar that we love to take our friends to. It's good for a large group of people & game days. Karibu Kitchen is inside of Tchoup Yard. Their crunch wrap supreme is one of Jess' favorites.
Bayou Beer Garden
Outdoor beer bar & wine garden in Mid City.
The Chloe
Hotel in Uptown off of St. Charles Ave. You can pay for a day pass to the pool. Delicious food & drinks. Also, close to other bars & restaurants.
Seaworthy
Non touristy spot for oysters next to the Ace Hotel. Oyster & the lobster roll are delicious. The Ace Hotel is also another spot where you can grab a day pass to the rooftop pool.
French Quarter
The French Quarter is a neighborhood in the city of New Orleans that falls within the border of these streets: Canal St, Esplanade Ave, North Rampart, & Decatur St.
The Guillot family LOVES a day out drinking in the quarter. There are endless restaurants, bars, & shops. We do recommend hanging out in the French Quarter during the day. We try to avoid it at night. Here's a few of our favorite places:
