Our Wedding

Like&nbsp;a&nbsp;lot&nbsp;of&nbsp;people&nbsp;these&nbsp;days,&nbsp;we&nbsp;met&nbsp;online.&nbsp;We&nbsp;only&nbsp;talked&nbsp;a&nbsp;short&nbsp;time&nbsp;before&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;date.&nbsp;It&nbsp;ended&nbsp;up&nbsp;being&nbsp;pizza&nbsp;at&nbsp;Mellow&nbsp;Mushroom&nbsp;followed&nbsp;by&nbsp;a&nbsp;Hardy&nbsp;concert&nbsp;in&nbsp;downtown&nbsp;Huntsville.&nbsp;Turns&nbsp;out,&nbsp;neither&nbsp;of&nbsp;these&nbsp;places&nbsp;accepted&nbsp;a&nbsp;paper&nbsp;ID!&nbsp;What's&nbsp;the&nbsp;point&nbsp;of&nbsp;having&nbsp;a&nbsp;paper&nbsp;ID,&nbsp;which&nbsp;you&nbsp;tend&nbsp;to&nbsp;get&nbsp;when&nbsp;you&nbsp;get&nbsp;a&nbsp;new&nbsp;license?&nbsp;Luckily&nbsp;we&nbsp;had&nbsp;some&nbsp;lenient&nbsp;bartenders.&nbsp;We&nbsp;ended&nbsp;the&nbsp;night&nbsp;with&nbsp;no&nbsp;kiss!&nbsp;Just&nbsp;a&nbsp;hug.&nbsp;Respectable.&nbsp; Date&nbsp;number&nbsp;two&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;Huntsville&nbsp;Havoc&nbsp;hockey&nbsp;game!&nbsp;These&nbsp;games&nbsp;ended&nbsp;up&nbsp;being&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;most&nbsp;attended&nbsp;events&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;area!&nbsp;We&nbsp;ended&nbsp;this&nbsp;night&nbsp;with&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;kiss&nbsp;and&nbsp;continued&nbsp;to&nbsp;grow&nbsp;our&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;from&nbsp;here&nbsp;on&nbsp;out!&nbsp; As&nbsp;months&nbsp;went&nbsp;on,&nbsp;we'd&nbsp;continue&nbsp;our&nbsp;hockey&nbsp;dates,&nbsp;dinner&nbsp;dates,&nbsp;walks,&nbsp;meeting&nbsp;friends,&nbsp;meeting&nbsp;each&nbsp;other's&nbsp;families,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;have&nbsp;our&nbsp;families&nbsp;meet&nbsp;at&nbsp;no&nbsp;place&nbsp;other&nbsp;than&nbsp;Jack&nbsp;Daniel's&nbsp;Distillery!&nbsp;We've&nbsp;now&nbsp;attended&nbsp;2&nbsp;NFL&nbsp;games,&nbsp;1&nbsp;MLB&nbsp;game,&nbsp;1&nbsp;NHL&nbsp;game&nbsp;and&nbsp;1&nbsp;pre-season&nbsp;NHL&nbsp;game,&nbsp;a&nbsp;couple&nbsp;Trash&nbsp;Pandas&nbsp;(minor&nbsp;league&nbsp;baseball)&nbsp;games,&nbsp;and&nbsp;can't&nbsp;forget&nbsp;the&nbsp;10+&nbsp;Havoc&nbsp;hockey&nbsp;games.&nbsp;There's&nbsp;been&nbsp;3&nbsp;Hardy&nbsp;concerts,&nbsp;other&nbsp;concerts&nbsp;by&nbsp;Riley&nbsp;Green,&nbsp;Jon&nbsp;Pardi,&nbsp;Luke&nbsp;Bryan,&nbsp;Old&nbsp;Dominion,&nbsp;Kameron&nbsp;Marlowe,&nbsp;2&nbsp;Talladega&nbsp;races,&nbsp;1&nbsp;Bristol&nbsp;race,&nbsp;1&nbsp;cruise,&nbsp;trips&nbsp;to&nbsp;Denver,&nbsp;Buffalo,&nbsp;Nashville,&nbsp;CT/RI,&nbsp;FL,&nbsp;the&nbsp;Kentucky&nbsp;Bourbon&nbsp;trail,&nbsp;and&nbsp;St.&nbsp;Louis,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;can't&nbsp;wait&nbsp;for&nbsp;more!&nbsp;We&nbsp;love&nbsp;traveling&nbsp;and&nbsp;adventure,&nbsp;sporting&nbsp;events,&nbsp;and&nbsp;concerts.&nbsp;We've&nbsp;been&nbsp;to&nbsp;5&nbsp;weddings&nbsp;and&nbsp;now,&nbsp;finally&nbsp;our&nbsp;own!&nbsp; We&nbsp;have&nbsp;found&nbsp;that&nbsp;we&nbsp;love&nbsp;spending&nbsp;time&nbsp;together&nbsp;and&nbsp;doing&nbsp;things&nbsp;that&nbsp;keep&nbsp;us&nbsp;busy!&nbsp;We&nbsp;both&nbsp;love&nbsp;getting&nbsp;to&nbsp;spend&nbsp;time&nbsp;with&nbsp;our&nbsp;family&nbsp;and&nbsp;friends&nbsp;as&nbsp;well.&nbsp;At&nbsp;the&nbsp;time&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;wedding,&nbsp;it&nbsp;will&nbsp;be&nbsp;a&nbsp;little&nbsp;over&nbsp;two&nbsp;years&nbsp;of&nbsp;us&nbsp;being&nbsp;together.&nbsp;We&nbsp;have&nbsp;learned&nbsp;so&nbsp;much&nbsp;about&nbsp;each&nbsp;other,&nbsp;figured&nbsp;out&nbsp;each&nbsp;other's&nbsp;pet&nbsp;peeves,&nbsp;our&nbsp;wants&nbsp;in&nbsp;life,&nbsp;and&nbsp;been&nbsp;able&nbsp;to&nbsp;match&nbsp;our&nbsp;morals&nbsp;and&nbsp;values&nbsp;with&nbsp;one&nbsp;another.&nbsp;There's&nbsp;no&nbsp;one&nbsp;else&nbsp;we'd&nbsp;rather&nbsp;be&nbsp;with&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;lives&nbsp;and&nbsp;forever.&nbsp;We&nbsp;love&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;so&nbsp;much! We&nbsp;are&nbsp;so&nbsp;glad&nbsp;you&nbsp;have&nbsp;all&nbsp;come&nbsp;to&nbsp;celebrate&nbsp;our&nbsp;love.&nbsp;We&nbsp;are&nbsp;lucky&nbsp;to&nbsp;have&nbsp;friends&nbsp;and&nbsp;family&nbsp;that&nbsp;care&nbsp;so&nbsp;much&nbsp;about&nbsp;us&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;are&nbsp;so&nbsp;thankful&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;life&nbsp;we've&nbsp;created&nbsp;together.&nbsp;Thank&nbsp;you&nbsp;all&nbsp;so&nbsp;much.

If you're looking for somewhere different to stay, we stayed here once. It Is adorable. Tiny homes, tree houses, and glamping! If you prefer a 2 bedroom home, they even have a few of those! You also get a golf cart, sauna access, cold plunge access, and hot tub access! They have a spa as well for extra! It is a 12 minute drive if you wish to stay there, but we won't have a room block for these stays.

These 2 bedroom suites are connected to the venue. A little more on the pricey side. We have a couple rooms blocked off for this as well.

If you decide to stay 1 night in Huntsville or just want to explore, Big Spring Park was our proposal site! It is a pretty path along a pond with lots of ducks and giant coy fish. There's plenty of bars and restaurants as well. We reccomend staying around Jefferson St for some local eateries/bars (The Martin- sports bar, Jeffersons street Pub- basic dark pub/bar, Del Chuco, Melt- cheesy eats, Stella's- more upscale bar, Baker and Able- rooftop with good espresso martinis, The Standard- good brunch) or head down Governors Drive to a few popular breweries (*Stovehouse, *Yellowhammer, Straight to Ale, or Inner Space Brewing).

Downtown Huntsville 

On your way into town, you may drive by the giant rocket off the interstate. It is a very popular museum.

U.S. Space and Rocket Center

There are quite a few trails in the area. Lake Guntersville State Park is nearby. if you wanted to drive further, Bethel Springs has a waterfall. Huntsville also has a lot of trails. Popular ones include Monte Sano, Alum Hollow, Green Mountain Nature Preserve, and Rainbow Mountain (located in Madison on the West side of Huntsville).
