Both having grown up in the small town of Hillsborough, NC, in adjacent neighborhoods, Lee and Jessie attended the same elementary and middle schools- with Lee one grade ahead (because he is "cooler and older" than she-even though they are the same age for 21 days out of the year).

Although they never spoke, they were sure to overlap paths at the SportsPlex Ice Skating Rink on Friday nights and in the CW Stanford Middle School hallways.

Lee's side of the story goes something like this:

He always knew of Jessie, as they had mutual friends and grew up in a small town. He thought she was "cute" and as one 13 year old boy does, he slid into her DM's- with most likely a heart eye emoji, because he had game. Jessie read the message, and gave no response, which was a trend for her and Lee for many years. Lee was persistent, and thank goodness he was.

Even though they attended two different highschools, Jessie continued to see a name pop up on her phone.

The two of them continued to live separate lives, graduating High School and growing through many adult milestones.

One day Jessie had an epiphany- (after stalking Lee's instagram page), realizing that Lee might just be one of the most persistent men she had ever corresponded with, and also that he was "smoking hot", charming, funny and from what she could tell by his messages over the years, extremely kind. That was just the type of person she needed in her life.

The two of them agreed to meet at a bar in Durham, Namu, and even though the two of them were hesitant at first-continued to go on dates falling more and more in love with every single one.

The Pair are now inseparable-where one goes, the other follows; sharing everything from a home, food, laughter, memories, two amazing dogs and soon to share: a last name.

We are so excited to invite you to our wedding, and can't wait to celebrate love, family, friendship and a forever union on October 11, 2025.
