We first met on Tinder back in December 2017 where Josh sent the first message…his message was “you’re that girl that works at Starbucks with Billy aren’t you?”, not the smoothest but definitely caught Jess’ attention.

After talking for a few days in the lead up to NYE we discussed what we were doing. Somehow, amongst some plotting amongst our friends (we think), we realised we were both on the same night out with our mutual friends. As the night progressed we both realised this was something we were interested in and ended up having our first kiss at midnight in the Royal Oak, Winchester.

Things moved quick from there, from moving in together with Billy, then moving in together, then COVID hit. After being in lockdown we had that all important question of where do we go next, so we decided on trying for a baby. We were blessed with our little girl Lily in May 2021 and moved into our flat that year. We got a cat and felt settled, only to then get the shock of baby number 2! Liam was born in December 2022 and that was us set!

In 2023 Josh told Jess that he was ready to think about proposing. On Mothers Day he booked a trip to Cheddar Gorge (one of Jess’ favourite places) for the July with it set that this was when he was going to propose. So on the 8th July 2023, at the top of Jacob’s Ladder and 3 mile cliff walk (which he did with a bad back after sneezing that morning) Josh got down on one knee and proposed… and the rest is history!
